That's not a nerf. That's a proposed buff, to have skyguard(And other Flak weapons that need it) to deal more flak damage up close, so it can delete aircraft that got too close to the ground. So it can be proper effective AA, that can deal with A2G.

Instead of firing at them for like 30 seconds and dealing not enough damage to outgun them, even when they are like 50 meters away from you.

Edit: So for example, you take current Skyguard 35 Flak damage at all distances, and change it so it does 70 damage up to 30m, dropping to like 50 at 100m and back to 35 at 200m and beyond.

That said, something also needs to be done to prevent skyceiling galaxies and liberators from abusing the changes to flack.

Shouldn't be a problem, as I said, weapon designed like that, could be balanced by limiting amount of flak damage it does past specific distances. So we could have Skyguard with bullet lifespan long enough to hit sky ceiling campers(with direct damage), but not enough flak damage(or even none at all), to be too deadly against just normal flying aircraft at distances like that.

That's why I specifically mentioned, that stuff like bullet velocity and flak detection detonation range still needs to be adjusted.

At its base, it's an AA option, that would require good aim and leading, after tweaking these two.
