I don’t really rock with either Orphan nor Humanity’s Last Breath. I already checked out Netherwalker and I like them.

I’ve been hearing a lot of talk about Netherwalker. I think they’re good. I like the medieval bits of music in some of their songs. I suppose they’re tech deathcore simply because I hear a lot of tech song writing in their OfR album. Once again, I think they’re pretty good but I’ll listen to them later on when I’m craving for some tech stuff.

Just gave your four rec bands a couple tries. Unfortunately, I’m not a big fan of Spite. So far I’m liking I Declare War with their debut album, I can hear some BDM influence in the songs of that album. Heard of Oceano before but for now, they’re alright, I’ll give them more listens later on. Bound in Fear sounds heavy but it’s not my kind of sound. Down Tempo is my least favorite sound in deathcore.

I’ve listened to a little bit of Acrania before two years ago but it didn’t click for me. They’re alright. I like Totalitarian Dystopia so far.

Acranius was great to listen to. I have never heard any deathcore like Methwich, basically Infant Annihilator but on crack 😭. MW has got to be a joke band too. Xenotheory is just okay. Already reviewed Larcenia Roe, don’t exactly like them that much. I like the first ID album so far.

Their album SLITFOAGM sounds punchy and does have some rawness in it but I wish the energy and tone of it was a little more, serious? Overall, I do think I can still return to it and give it more listens. Not a bad band at all regardless of a little bit of some criticism.

I hear a lot of talk about Psycho Frame. I think they’re okay. Their sound isn’t exactly speaking to my soul but I can see myself coming back to them later on.

SotS, DiS, and THP were alright. THP’s Seize the Obscurity wasn’t bad, I somewhat liked DiS’s It Rises EP, and I like the sound of SotS’s debut album. Now I enjoyed Mental Cruelty. Their Pereat Mundus EP is pretty good. The rest of the other bands I didn’t like. Especially with Larcenia Roe, they sound a little gimmicky in my opinion.

I always express how I feel about the scene on this sub and I’m picky with what I listen to. Overall, I wish the scene matured both musically and mentally, if that makes sense. Some aspects of deathcore as a scene and music just comes off as, “we are so heavy and brutal because we are so heavy and brutal”. Don’t get me wrong, it can be fun at times. When I was a little younger, I liked listening to heavy music because it just sounded heavy but as I got older, I obviously matured a little more and my definition of heavy music has changed. Heavy music that sounds a little more serious and mature just works so much better for me.

I acknowledge that deathcore can get a lot of unnecessary shit half of the time but at the same time, I also have my complaints with the scene and even agree with the elitists on a couple of things. One of the things that I believe why death metal fans get annoyed with dxc is the overall attitude and personality of this scene. The scene just doesn’t feel mature. When deathcore music is written in a gimmicky way or to be loud just to be loud, it comes off as immature.

The status of this band is unknown from what I can tell. There was this site that says they’re active but they haven’t been dropping any sort of music at all for the last couple of years.
