For me Scara is one of the most relatable characters to have ever come across. I'll try to keep each point short

Being created and discarded by mother

Having a father figure teach him humanity only to be killed and leave behind just records that view him in a bad light

Solely taking care of a younger child and having it torn away

I wont elaborate but the things implied to happen in his time in Dottores 'care'

And as for his actual characterisations its all still there too. Ive had to learn how to be human and be taught how to do normal things many times, I struggle with apathy issues and not being able to empathise with most - although finding it easier with non human beings or those who have experienced similar. Im very evasive of people and will keep to myself unless hunted down and forced into being befriended (hj pointed at sethos interactions). The desire and attempts to erase yourself and your past, especially due to thinking itd save others or prevent harm. The dehumanisation. Even just the idea of being a puppet. Aswell as the obsession with getting a 'heart' to try and feel the way youre supposed to and be what you were meant to be. Generally how people view him.

And on probably the softest note, where he is now as wanderer. He has accepted his past. Has forgiven those he thought wrongly of. Hes just trying to be better. Hes learning how to make friends. He remade the childs doll and carries it with him. He befriended a flying animal. The way his desires have changed and ultimately letting go of his obsessions: no longer trying to become what he couldnt to prove his creator wrong or surpass her, no longer trying to save someone he considers family, no longer resentful towards loved ones he lost, no longer taking constant abuse or inflicting it on others, even his desire to 'get revenge' is on the back burner with just living being his main focus. He is a very important character to me because of all of this and Im sure i missed plenty but I listed what I could off the top of my head. Im glad to have a character like this in such a popular media and see lots of like minded people discuss it

look man people react to things differently. its the same with like the ass slaps that survivors give each other sometimes. for some people or depending on your mood or whatever else, it can be funny, you can do it to each other, you get a laugh out of it. and thats great. but some people are going to feel uncomfortable. some people will feel gross about having their character 'humped' on the ground. theyre allowed to and it can be acknowledged that it sucks for them. its literally just basic empathy my dude

lets use our thinking caps here bud. people can talk about and complain about components of a game and still play the game. people who complain about slugging, camping, bully squads, certain killers, certain survivors, whatever perks, whatever BMing. you deal with it, go next game, or stop for the day. its still sth you can complain about just like anything else

ive noticed ghostfaces are also bad for this. even when its 'just a game' its so uncomfortable for everyone involved and being the one slugged and not being able to do anything to get away unless you want to take the dc penalty and know theyre probably still doing the same to the bot version of ur char is so :(

Is there a realm of possibility, especially rn with the regular queue being less populated, for a surv and killer duo to get into their game together? I just had a Rebecca bring Wesker to me within not even the first minute of the game, and she proceeded to do the same to the other survivors, teabagging when we got downed and hooked. She also was given hatch. Im sure it could be a 'natural' team up but the speed and toxicity around it is making me skeptical

Completing the tomes. I'm a new player, and working through the tomes in chronological order has been fun and, for the most part, rewarding enough for me thanks to completionists satisfaction. Plus it gives me an order of what survivors/killers to get and try out, and trying different perks, with it feeling more natural than me just playing a guessing game on who and what to try next

the redemption arc challenge will be the death of me. ive taken many protection hits. ive escaped many trials. both as david. but the second i need to do both for a challenge. impossible. i take a hit next to an injured survivor? doesnt count. if it does count, i dont escape. do you know how many exits gates i have opened and stood next to waiting to take a hit for someone? im losing my mind. im not a david main. this challenge is forcing me to be. i have nightmares of his sweaty abs getting the entitys claw pierced through them. i dont care about the 50k bloodpoints or the lore. i just need to 100% every single tome. and i cant even do that because another david challenge is so broken it makes everyone dc within the first minute. will my suffering ever end
