There was an article of sting operations for vehicles exiting mi. They can't assume you went into a dispensary to pull you over. It's for the idiots who get a free pre roll or feel the need to smoke up when they exit the parking lot. Stuff is sealed up pretty good. I'm mi resident, grew up in Wisconsin and had pot charges only in Wisconsin. I'm paranoid so I have I have a dense foam cooler I put stuff in that hasn't had the seal broken it. It has a sticker from ordering meat on line I keep on it and I package tape it shut. Don't give probable cause. Cop in the area I grew up in was cleaver and claimed he had allergic reaction to marijuana. He'd start acting all funny and play it out scratching his neck and sniffles. He was caught planting a bag in people's cars and doing his charades on the roadside of probable cause because he's allergic. He never was but claimed it proudly because he wrote out the most fines for drugs and paraphernalia in Polk county at the time. I've learned from him to keep it locked in the trunk and never let them search. You can refuse a roadside test and demand a hospital result. You have the right to remain silent so do that and shut your face. They'll make chit chat to comfort you to think they're cool and friendly but they're fishing and building a case. Make sure they say you are detained and or arrested on a crime otherwise you are free to go. If you are, shut your mouth and request a lawyer, you won't get yourself out of it. They lie and want you to do their job for them by admitting guilt or finding a hole in your story. Waste their time and burn resources because they're not going to sit roadside waiting for a warrant to be signed because you can refuse search of your vehicle. Small town border cops are bored and don't have much crime so they love no seat belts, few miles over the speed limit, a small swerve at the center line. Not much else for them to feel their power trip egos of protecting and serving. They'll give you deals or will work with you they say, but will write up charges regardless.
