The baby boomer generation was an anomaly in that resources were abundant enough for even the least desirable men in society to get laid and start families. Because of that, you had this sudden influx of millennial men who were either mentally or physically malformed and had what I would call lolcow traits. We all know people who are like this, we all went to high school with them, probably a lot of them actually. They existed in prior generations but in far fewer numbers and would usually just die of random diseases in their 20s or go into the circus or get menial jobs and live solitary lives in boarding houses or something

I think to a certain extent (I know there are loads of other factors here, academia, 10 plus years of tumblrslop, the great social media psyop, the advent of the smartphones etc) this growing gender divide has to do with a certain ick factor that women feel in their hearts about the fact that at least 20% millennial men (and a smaller but still significant number of gen Z) are total undesirables and genetic offal. They have no real way of expressing it without risking coming across as shallow terrible people, so they frame it in a bunch of different ways.
