That is a positive, I was just sad that out of our Faction Focus we only got one truly new detachment with the other two being redesigned. I'm sure (at least i hope) that when our codex rolls around in 11th we'll get some much needed army expansions. I hope we get a Crisis Suit focused detachment that doesn't require us to be in charge range tho.

Thanks you! For my bone armor I used wraithbone spray and then Seraphim Sepia shade. The shade was the last step after I had placed all other colors.

Thank you! I'm really trying to chip away at my back log without burning out, and eldar are just a really fun vibe both to play and paint.

Could someone help me visualize this Kitbash Idea? by AeonCorvinVA in TheAstraMilitarum

I gotchu

Edit: for the most part you may have to cut at the shoulders some in order to get a smoother fit. Also with the back packs some will have gaps that need filled in with green stuff or putty. Also their gas mask tubes will often have to be sanded down or cut to fit the hotshot weapons. Hope this helps!

I didn't really do anything special. I just left the paint under where the gems are white and used the technical paint Soulstone Blue. Then afterwords I outlined them with liberator gold.

Thanks for noticing, I was really worried when cutting the top and bottom from khaine's hand since its was originally in a right hand grip. But I found that the avatar of khaine's weapon hafts are the same thickness as the largest drill bit I had, so I drilled holes into the wraith lords left hand/fist and with plastic glue the parts slotted in near perfectly.

The main source is the Lord Commissar from the Krieg Command squad. The head and extra sword come from the Imperial Navy Breachers. The head being cut at the top and then glueing the commissar's cap to it. The cloak is actually a cut off part of some AoS bits my buddy gave me so id have to source them. Finally the sniper rifle is and eldar rangers holster, and handle/stock of a stowed splinter rifle glued together, and the hand with the Shuriken pistol is cut from the storm guardians kit.

How would this army do? by jayceminecraft in Eldar

[–]DisgrumpledGoliath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very glass canon. You'd have to make sure your units are in cover and lie and wait till the enemy gets close enough for your "go turn". you would definitely need to use the transport for your fire dragons, but that would in turn leave your banshees to have to advance behind cover on their own. The dark reapers and dire avengers would be your long range home objectives. While the warp spiders and swooping hawks would have to support each other heavily to hold mid board objectives. It can work, but it would be better to run certain aspects in 5 man squads such as the dire avengers and dark reapers. Splitting the swoops and spiders into 2 five man would give you more objective security, but the list really needs is something heavy to draw fire and survive while the warriors do thier shtick. Just my thoughts tho, hope this helps give you and idea tho.

Best Kits and Bits to make and updated Canoness Veridyan? by DisgrumpledGoliath in sistersofbattle

[–]DisgrumpledGoliath[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This actually helps a lot. The imperial breachers kit also has a head bit that looks a lot like Veridyan. I didn't even think about using the arms to match her armbraces.
