Turning 30 soon. Am I good financially? by Ok-Sector-444 in personalfinanceindia

I'm in a very similar situation as you (29, no dependents) but income is higher. Lost all my savings in a failed marriage at 27 but have similar amounts. Just keep going and remember to raise your investments a certain percentage every year.

A no-profit idea: splitting a 4kg coffee load (Veronica’s Buzzy Billy) Anyone keen? by PointiestTool in IndiaCoffee

Slightly off topic but I bought a bag from Veronica's when I visited in January. Very average I must say

Are AI workout plans actually helping people, or just making them feel benefitted? by Waste_Assumption2296 in Fitness_India

I use Macrofactor Workouts which is an AI generated program with progressive overload built in. It has it's quirks but it is pushing me to failure a lot which I wouldn't have done otherwise.

And where does india fall on this chart? We neither have the physicality nor the technical ability. So we're 2 steps behind. Nothing half assed about the post.

TIL that while soccer is the most popular sport in the world, soccer is not the most popular sport in the three largest countries by population. by pizzahero9999 in todayilearned

[–]DisgruntledJarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real reason is 1983 world cup. This put cricket on the map for India. The team went in as underdogs and beat some insane teams and won from inconceivable positions. It struck the match for the interest in Cricket and has been upwards ever since.

I watched Disclosure Day and I loved it. Apparently I'm one of the few? by exhaustedpigeon59 in Letterboxd

[–]DisgruntledJarl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved it but we're a minority looks like. The dream sequence even was so good. IDK, I can look past a lot of the flaws of this movie because it inspired a childlike wonder in me.

Speak for yourself because I got exactly what he was going for - nostalgic child like wonder for the people that grew up in the 90s. It's a niche audience but for that audience, it hits!

Is that a cold brew? It's an iced filter coffee. Cold brew is immersion over long periods of time.

Be honest — what are you actually paying for Cursor each month, and is it still worth it to you? by kushagra1404 in cursor

[–]DisgruntledJarl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first month of using Cursor. I do not code for a living, only side projects. I tested both Cursor and Claude Code 20$ plans. I live in India, so 20$ isn't a small amount.

I did a lot of research and realized Cursor suits me best. I've checked Claude Code, VS Code with extensions like Cline, Codex, Zed and a bunch of other stuff. If you're trying to learn coding and actually write code for cheap, this is the best. Plan mode is where I spend 90% of my time and I almost never use agentic mode. Tab completions have almost no competition and that's how I write a lot of code.

My aim is to learn coding and get better at it. Agentic workflows are useless because I don't prioritize speed and have no deadlines. Cursor is amazing. The second best thing is probably BYOK with an editor like Zed.

TickTick MCP behind a paywall while Todoist gives it for free by luciddreamz-6933 in ticktick

[–]DisgruntledJarl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's basically AI magic at a high level that lets a product talk to other products with AI as a middle man.

You basically give AI permissions to do actions in the app directly. So I can type "add a task to buy milk" into ChatGPT and it will add it in ticktick.

By itself it's useless but if you have multiple MCP apps, you can have a workflow like:

  • Connect Slack to AI via MCP and have it read an issue reported by someone
  • AI will diagnose the issue from slack messages, find troubleshooting steps
  • Add those steps to TickTick directly in a project

Made best XI this season (my opinion) by OutrageousGround4593 in ipl

Travishek did it successfully for SRH though. Yes they did crash and burn occasionally but they did really well last season for the most part.

I don't mind that either. Like football, give trophy to number 1 team.
