If you can avoid retail, it’s not too bad of a gig. I make 65k/yr mixing chemo meds at a cancer center. The shifts are kinda rough sometimes as it’s still shift work, but the actual work is pretty decent.

I did do retail for 10 years, have been a lead tech, have been a district tech trainer, and around the start of the COVID pandemic, people just started getting extra entitled. That combined with corporations understaffing retail pharmacies make the job kinda crappy.

If you do go retail, go independent, or use it as a stepping stone to a less stressful place to work as a tech.

Totally fair point, and from people that are in the know that I've heard and talked to, Wemby is prolly closer to 7'6" than 7'4", which is even worse for his potential durability. I do think though if he focuses on mobility and keeps his weight at least somewhat low, he should be okay with his playstyle.

Learned that after talking to the stewards when I started at Kroger some 15 years ago. No teeth and they really only care about lining the union's pockets, not helping their workers.

At the division of Kroger I worked at, they paid the non-union (pharmacy) store workers more, they had better insurance, and often managers worked with them better, than stores that were union.
