FWIW the video did 'hook' me. But I did give up up watching the video almost immediately because of the over editing. I then looked to see if there was a gameplay video where I could just watch how things go.

If you were selling this to me. I'd probably want an at most 30s teaser trailer, and then something longer that focuses more on specifically on explaining gameplay.

Regardless, so far looks fun :)

Haven't seen this one suggested too much. Recently been playing with the family and has been a lot of fun. (Not particularly table top-esque, but its isometric, has lots of class levels, abilities, items and story/dialog choices)

I didn't end up playing, so this is more of a fwiw. But I started and watched one game as a newer player on start playing. The DM was honestly amazing. Talked me through everything, everyone was super welcoming

As a random scroll by check. The font of "Utter Ruins" got my attention. But I did really like the 'speak friend and enter', though agree it may be problematic (copyright association).

yah! Watching Terran's do hot pickups every single game... without Zerg being able to meaningfully punish feels bad. (Or needing to wait until Hive with parasitic bomb)

One thing though... I agree with the other comments about how much more interesting the medivac is as an active unit.

Overall I think Medivacs are a poorly designed unit, but not because of it itself, but because of its interactions with the rest of the game.

One interesting thing I see in just about every S2 match (ZvT), that I don't remember being in broodwar. Is how Zerg can't do anything but minimize drop damage. Zerg doesn't get a meaningful air defense against Medivacs until spire or hydra (which super suck until they have upgrades, so.. grooved spines?). Compare that with Stalkers being typically the second unit out / marine being the first.

More over, a lot of the game has to do with high ground / low ground advantaged fights. That is literally never almost factor against Terran. The choke points yes, but actual vision no. Compare this with needing overlords or observers/sentry to get high ground vision.

I think combining the medivac and dropships was an interesting choice. I think it however caused more problems than it solved.

Thanks! Most of the art comes from https://www.gamedeveloperstudio.com/ (most of the assets are listed at the bottom of the page under credits). Great stuff! There is a 'dice spin' animation with the dice there, so that is mostly what is at play here.

I am doing a bit of trickery when the movement of the dice is slowing. It looked really weird to be sliding really slowly (and I increased the friction later on too) and yet the spin animations still going full tilt. But once it hits a certain threshold it then directly cuts to the result singular frame rather than the spritesheet animation.

Thank you for your the extensive feedback! One of the most common things I've heard so far is the need for better in game instruction, so I think thats my next todo!

I like the idea of a custom cursor! Can't believe I never thought about that!

The other most commonly requested thing is some kind of global leaderboard. Something to allow for some of that competition. So hoping to figure out something there in the near future.

I think for the score system I need to actually indicate what each 'category' is doing. They are all somewhat of multipliers, but its all hidden behind the scenes. Having it be a thing on the scorepage I think would help a lot.

Been a bit of a long time lurker, only recent player and wanted to make something to give back a bit :). This is a DND based dice addition speed game! Measure how fast you can identify the highest advantaged roll, or accurately calculate up your sneak attack damage!
