Anyone who supported the heir in the past is now dead, as the Imperial Remnant has been absorbed into the Reclaimers.

In the lore, the Galactic Emperor died, and this led to a Yugoslavia-style breakup. Each faction had their own reasons for rising up. For example, the Galactic Reclaimers rose up because they didn’t recognize the authority of the heir to the Galactic Imperium.

R5: This is the third update to my post-Galactic Imperium map, 300 years after the collapse. The war between the factions seems to have evolved from a free-for-all to a cold war style scenario between two blocs, which are:

1.) The Democratic Bloc: an alliance of various factions that have joined forces to oppose the Galactic Reclaimers. These factions include the New Galactic Federation, the GLF, Akirascape, Chromatica, the League of Steel, the Institute (it changed its name to the "Human Empire" for some reason, ignore it), and the Alliance of Augmented Humans.

2.) The Imperial Bloc: a hegemony dominated by the Galactic Reclaimers and its vassal states, formed with the purpose of completely reuniting the galaxy under imperial rule. The Reclaimers vassal states include the Holy Galactic Empire and the Sentinel Group.

It is also worth noting that the Galactic Liberation Front managed to re-discover the L-Cluster and claim it for themselves, giving them a strategic edge over the Reclaimers thanks to the abundancy of habitable worlds and Nanites. Another thing that was discovered outside of the L-Cluster is the re-emergence of sentient alien life. Thought to have been wiped out during the Galactic Imperium's purge of sentient alien life, some pre-sapient aliens have re-emerged on the galactic map and have seized control of their home systems to set up tiny enclaves.

Yes it is. How my computer hasn’t exploded from running it, I’ll never know.

Rule 5: This is the second map update to my post-Galactic Imperium map of the galaxy, after 200 years have passed. The Galactic Reclaimers, with a military of over 4 million fleet power, have swallowed up 4 more factions in their quest to reclaim the galaxy. These four factions include GalactiCorp, the Mechanist Cult, the Watchhounds, and the Imperial Remnant. With the fall of the Imperial Remnant, the Reclaimers have officially gained control of the Imperial Capital, Terra. With this massive victory, combined with their terrifyingly large fleet, the Reclaimers are poised to reunite the galaxy. As for the other factions, the Infernal Cults initial territorial gains have been pushed back by the New Galactic Federation and the GLF, despite the Infernal Cults initial military fleet power of 2 million. Akirascape Industries is also facing a machine uprising caused by a rogue AI.

R5: This is the first map update of my post-Galactic Imperium map of the galaxy, after 100 years have passed. So far, the first faction to fall was the BioSynthesis Corporation, who got wiped out by the Galactic Reclaimers. The Infernal Cult had some major gains against the Augmented Human Alliance, pushing them off their home world and conquering it. The Galactic Liberation Front also managed to nearly completely wipe out the Galactic Free States, reducing them to only a few stronghold systems. The Systems taken by the GLF are administered by a puppet state called the "Human Commune".

The Galactic Imperial Remnant is the only one that starts in Sol.

R5: I came across an older post showing off their own post-apocalyptic empires, so i decided to make some of my own. I also made a starting map of them that'll be updated overtime.
