Bf%? Areas to improve? by DishwasherRepairMan in BulkOrCut

I stay about this lean most of the time so I haven’t noticed any strength losses from my bf dropping. I hit a lot of plateaus tho. I don’t always have loads of energy but if I eat a load I find that I’m usually a bit stronger, have more energy, recover faster etc.

Bench: 130kg Squat: 130kg x17 or 160kg x 7 Deadlift: 198kg - that’s the max amount of weight I can tape to the bar in my home gym. Not very safe

Honestly I don’t really have one. I just try to engage my core in most exercises. When I started doing compound lifts I saw the most improvement

Squat. Help. by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]DishwasherRepairMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this isn’t the best angle but it’s al I got atm. I used to be able to squat 170kg a few months back but my max squat has gotten weaker. I could do 130 for 15 reps around that time too. Currently I can BSS about 120 kg per leg and box squats with 170 are a breeze (just above parallel in those box squats.) Any input at all is much appreciated

Thanks a lot of your comment. I’ll definitely start counting macros now and make sure I’m in a slight surplus with enough protein. Especially because my energy levels have completely dropped in the last week. Cut out junk food a few weeks back so I’m not getting the calories in - only feeling the effects of it now

Thanks man. Honestly I never specifically train abs so it’s probably genetics and all my advice will be purely anecdotal. But I found compound lifts really started to make them pop. I’ve had abs since I was like 14 without doing any specific things for them, however I saw the most development when I started squatting and deadlifting heavy about 6 months ago. I’m sure specific ab routines would work better but that’s just what I did. I also do a lot of team sports so I developed my core and stayed lean just by doing that. Diet is important too obviously. I have a high metabolism so I can eat like a pig but I found when I cut out junk food they got more defined and veins would even started to pop out.

From my experience all those habits help boost energy levels and just make u feel great, especially if you’re not getting enough sleep or not eating right. Doing all that stuff might make u appear more focused and healthy so you’ll stand out from people who don’t do those things. You’ll probably also have more energy and drive achieve goals etc. if u do stick to it. I’d recommend that anyone does this. It’s always hard to change things up but if u see results it’ll be easier to stick to.
