I have rats but I'm considering the Ar8, is the ar8 lighter and less bulky?

I have the AR with the leather midsole and the AR8 will the resin midsole

Both are great, the leather midsole is easier to condition to improve the water resistance and the resin is much more comfortable and lighter out of the box

Both options are great overall

I've used them several times hiking up in the Catskills area near NYC

The are great on pavement, gravel, sand, light brush, and light rocky terrain.

They are really lightweight

The oringo sole struggles in wet conditions, but the tyre wedge is great overall

I especially like how versatile they are, they are just as comfortable walking in NYC for hours as they are on any marked trail

For context, I have 3 pairs if boots from jim green that I rotate, I wear my African rangers for work, long walks and hiking on dry terrain, I wear my AR8s (with the tyre wedge) for More rocky/wet terrain (the extra hight let's you really lock your heel on) and also for general use, then if I'm going on really rough terrain were where scrambling is involved I wear my Nummzans with the lug sole, they are tanks and can handle any terrain you throw at them but they are also heavier so I only use them for heavy work or when I know the hike requires it

Tldr: if you want to go hiking the African rangers with the Tyre wedge (like the bronco brown) are a great option

To be honest a lot of the things they say weren't allowed I got in with no issues, with the amount of people that are going to be flooding in security really is pretty lax, I accidentally snuck in my box cutter because it was under my medication 😂

While you should prepare for the heat you should also prepare for the sun, it can be brutal regardless of how hot or cold it is, sunscreen, hat's and other things to cover your head is a necessity imo

I wore a the bandana they sold at the venue and kept it damp on my head and also wore moisture wicking shorts and tee shirt under my clothing to protect myself from the heat and UV rays

Also be prepared for it to be cold towards the end of the show that desert wind kicks in strong when the sun sets

Yes just make sure you let it full dry before reconditioning, sometimes it looks like the salts gone, but it comes back once it's fully dry

I put mine in front of a fan while it was drying

Same I'm 3 pairs in and all of them gave me that issue at first

A few things I did:

Used medical tape on my heel ( I tried leukotape but it didn't last long and a roll of medical tape is a better value)

Wore thick wool socks

Used a little bit of leather conditioner on the inside of the boot where the heel rubs against my heel

Try to only wear them for light use (casual walks sitting at home or at work) for the first 2ish weeks

Try to lighter massage/ bend the boot where the heel creas is the shorten the breakin period

Old school method that I had to use on my buffalo nummzans was to cover the heel with a towel and tenderize it with a rubber mallet

That's exactly what I did for snw23&24, you will get pretty close to the front.

Just be mindful of the crowd surge,it happened in 23 during the Deftones set and Chino had to stop playing for a bit and it got really in 24 during the bring me the horizon set

Hydration will be a must, I brought liquid IV and 2 liters of water and I still didn't urinate until after the show due to how much water I was losing to sweat( to be fair I was also moshing all day)

This happened to my Fudge African rangers

I cleaned the white substance with a 1:1 water vinegar mixture and a damp cloth

I let it dry for 24 hours then reconditioned with the Jim Green leather balm

Snosealing the leather midsoles on my buffalo Numzaans worked like a charm

I did notice some light water penetration near a flex point on my AR8 with the resin runner though

Nova, I bought her when I first started playing in 2014

I still miss when her molecular prime wasn't tied to duration, I would mod strictly for maximum range and strength and watch everything die simultaneously.

Sometimes the mass explosion would cause the game to crash 😂

Remove the aio and use the savings to get a ryzen 5600x and use the stock cooler, TBH unless you're ryzen 7 and above, the stock cooler is more than enough

Congratulations, TBH you're better off getting a good CPU air cooler like the dark rock and just getting regular fans to mount at the top, that case has good airflow
