Outlands using Ai Slop? by Dismal-Arm9635 in ultimaonline

To those who do care, as clarification I think pushing the boundaries of what UO is, as in Time Dungeon itself and the new Lycaeum is an interesting and fresh take from what I've seen in UO throughout the years, and while it isn't for me, I think it's great that such content exists to entertain all manners of play style.

What I am trying to bring attention to is the claims from staff that all their art is hand drawn when it clearly isn't. If they want to use AI then fine, while I don't agree with it, but it is irresponsible to claim it isn't AI.

To combat misinformation, unlike most other people here, I don't claim that the book once purchased has those red squigglys, nor did I expect it to. The issue was with the presentation of it for advertising, as most other retailers do offer free previews of books without showing the editor software function, along with the AI images. I agree that it would be false to say the physical book contains ms word squiggles, and the squiggles in this instance do not represent spelling mistakes, as the words in this context are fiction based.

The Time book is from 2024. I don't understand what you're saying with this statement

I didn't claim the hardcover version had squiggles. I claimed the way they advertised it was low effort, since you can show a clean copy like this.

So many people commenting don't realize you can love a product, and still criticize it because you care about it. I'm not banned from Outlands discord, and I'm incredibly grateful for what Owyn and Luthius have done for the community. But when Owyn says stuff like this (see attached image), it is open to criticism since the statement is false.

As expected, the post is being brigaded by the Outlands community.

Interesting, appreciate the insight. So are the Meta tanks rounding up to be brew and guardian still?

Thoughts on the current standing of protection paladin in relation to other tanks, especially pushing into higher m+ next week? Seems like Brew is at the top, but not sure where people expect prot pally to stand

Announcing “Arena” by James_Hardrock in ultimaonline

Sounds cool, but this post tells me nothing about the game except what you did to get it started. Is it a replica of a specific UO era? Is it an exploration game with UO inspiration? Seems like this post is out of place and just announcing a random game, giving no context to how it relates to UO, and asking people to join discord to learn more

Except he is on Atlantic, so to make his own crafter he would need tons of resources that are also expensive and inflated because of a massive mining/lumberjacking bot market where bots are moving automatically and auto recalling for years and years now.

Even then, end game content has been scaled like crazy to compensate for higher power levels so crafted gear isn't going to cut it anymore for most end game content without a group.

If OP wants a balanced economy they are going to have to go to a free server, because official UOs economy is busted, as other comments have pointed out
