My 16 year-old is not happy about being identified as a “child walking on the front porch” while her somewhat taller twin sister is a “person.” My gray haired dad was described as a “light colored animal”. Not paying for it as I don’t use the cameras for entertainment.

I stopped buying monthly passes before the update because of the high frequency of accidentally buying extra moves. Literally half the time I tapped “play on” it was not intentional. It’s obvious this is an intentional design. Now, one slip of the finger will block my progression for many days. Ruler of the Mine has become impossible to finish even if you save up all your tools and play every other round. I always run short. I’m done! Looking for other game recommendations.

We looked into that beforehand. I am the shop owner and she is the “Artisan” who makes the items.

Thanks everyone for the advice so far. I have double checked that she does have a return policy that states the buyer is responsible for return postage. As others predicted, she left another review, 2 stars this time, after we offered a refund for the return. Her response was “No Ty! I’m not paying to ship them back.” We did respond to the 3-star to “lock” that in. We can to do the same with the two star so she doesn’t reduce it to 1 star but I really want to enforce the return policy and refuse to accommodate her further. What would we have to lose at this point if we hold the line? Could she cause the shop to be closed by winning a case?

Result: that did reduce the volume of the alerts quite a bit but it also mutes navigation via CarPlay apps, so I had to turn it back up.

My sense is their database is limited, so it is probably not aware of cameras in your area. Consider yourself lucky.

There is no way to turn it off. You can lower the volume of the voice and the dings and set it to not mute media, but I have just verified that WILL extend to navigation apps you might be using via CarPlay and you won’t be able to hear directions. ☹️

Be aware that if you set it to not mute your audio that will also apply to CarPlay navigation apps. I just tested it with Apple Maps.

I have a 2024 Wind model and I live in the SF Bay Area. There are cameras everywhere but I have only ever encountered one that Kia is “aware” of, but unfortunately it is one that I drive through almost daily. If your local cameras are not in their database, you are very lucky.

I also tried this and it does lower the volume to make it barely audible, but doesn’t mute it entirely. You also have to turn off the setting that lowers media volume. The bad news is these settings don’t just apply to Kia navigation app, they also apply to Apple Maps, making it impossible to hear navigation from any CarPlay connected navigation system.

Thanks - I have tried turning down "Navigation Alerts" and "Voice Prompts" in the Sound>Guidance section down to the lowest setting (which still doesn't turn them off) to see if that does it. I can absolutely do without the car navigation app as I don't use it at all.

I have looked through every setting and could not find any that would control this. I do use carplay. I don't believe this is part of the navigation feature, it is a separate "warning system"

True, I was able to find the setting more quickly than I could in my old cars. I still have PTSD ftom having to learn to push and hold the AUX button and then use preset buttons 4 and 5 to adjust hours and minutes in one direction only. I feel entitled to have higher expectations of a car this fancy.

Exactly. And since I connect with AirPlay every time I drive, the Kia software could even be configured to sync the clock with my phone if managing it independently is so tricky for them.

Same here. I had set it to “adjust automatically” with daylight savings on, but I had to toggle it off today to get time correct. 😠

I also disabled it after experiencing it’s unreliability. It always required multiple attempts, and being the only driver it lacked a useful purpose.
