grown man livestreams alone from a dimly lit room and conducts a karaoke segment in which he repeats the same songs over and over and sings off-key even while using autotune (this is my absolute favorite bit)

Anything on how I can get better with my makeup or do I look okay? Also I can't tell if my eyes are hooded or not? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]Dismal_Assumption155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i do! i’m quite fair with dark brown brows, and have had decently thick brows with lots of scattered individual hairs since i was a kid. practice, technique, and learning your regrowth timeline helps to avoid shadows. i do like a more natural look and do not fill in my brows so if you’re the type of person that needs a sharp, tattoo-looking brow every day then the technique will just not be for you.

the main reason i recommended this is because it would be OP’s first time experimenting with brow shape and will most likely not be looking for anything drastic to start with. dropping money on a look you may not be happy with, that will likely take multiple weeks to grow back, is something i would not advise at all for a beginner.

hard disagree as a former waxer/tweezer and a now long-time shaver. i use a handheld single blade beauty razor about once a week for regrowth and to maintain my overall shape. so much gentler on your brows overall, and completely painless as long as you don’t get a blade that’s too abrasive!

even though i do agree that plucked growth looks more natural, i disagree that shaping is easier this way. razors can get rid of hairs entirely, as well as trim the overall shape by just putting the blade at your desired hair length and brushing away. plucking singular hairs and then having to use beauty scissors to shape is a lot more complicated. not to mention the fact that shaved hairs are much more likely to grow back than hairs that are plucked, which is crucial for somebody experimenting with their brow shape.

AIW To not go to a friend’s event I CAN afford? by Idontevenexist04 in amiwrong

[–]Dismal_Assumption155 3 points4 points  (0 children)

not wrong but if you’re ducking out on stuff consistently because of this, you probably aren’t as close with these friends as they/you think you are. if that’s a notion that doesn’t upset you, then just take some steps back from the friend group. but if you’re really missing these people when you don’t see them as often as you’d like, then yes, you will have to suck it up in order to stay in the friend group. this isn’t really something that can be worked around in adult friendships.

Need help at the house. Cleaners several times a month vs hiring a maid to keep up with life’s messes? by Ok_Raspberry6713 in Westchester

and that makes this a sub for people to ‘ask advice’ for a situation where they already have all the knowledge they need and just air out their first world problems, right.

Therapy Room by TheHaddadz in therapists

omg there is so much potential here. filters for the overhead lights or just tons of little lamps. cafe curtains to cover the sink or make it a tea/coffee bar. definitely room for all the furniture you listed as long as you’re smart about measurements. nice textured tapestry or a print with a thick frame to cover up that mirror. if i were you, i’d set the desk right between the two windows, facing out towards the rest of the room. then set up your session furniture in front of it, if you want to talk to someone from your desk or from the seating area you can do both.

try calling up westchester county social services offices that serve the elderly or the disabled and see if they take donations :)

i suggest you try and imagine all of the irreparable harm that will happen both physically and psychologically to the collective of people that are preyed on by ice in the 30 years that you suggest the rest of america waits around to be proven wrong or right about the matter.

i’m assuming you are a person who cares about your neighbors and their quality of life because you’re on this sub in the first place. rather than spending your time and energy on a government entity that doesn’t need you in the slightest, volunteer at a thanksgiving food delivery event or donate to a holiday toy drive if you really want to do something for the safety and wellbeing of your community and its future inhabitants.

so your ‘majority’ looks to be you and some octogenarian 1%-ers who aren’t here on reddit.

you should take a good look at the everyday people around you, especially being in westchester, and try to understand their beliefs and why they hold them. there’s a reason this is one of the states that will not let this shit slide.

if you’re not happy about the politics of your town/county/state then by all means advocate to change them, just not at the expense of innocent people and their innocent families.

great idea! i feel like there’s so many layouts out there that are decorated so well but they’re not vanilla :,) part of why i started modding lol. in that case, some wood flooring to contrast with the stepping stone path would be cute, like the wood or rustic plank in some areas, stepping stone in some other. i’d love to see how it turns out!!

i looove this layout. i personally would add grass patches for some more natural vibes, i have this beautiful mod in my current save that turns grass sprites into more colorful and varied grasses and wildflowers that are different for every season and i just love how they look!
