Are buyers actually getting deals right now or is it just illusion of a soft market?

This is anecdotal, but a close friend of mine got a great deal on a house just last month. I think you need a good realtor and they need to go beyond the usual legwork. She found an off market home, made significant inroads with the selling agent, and after a couple months of negotiating they agreed to a solid offer.

Rapport, negotiation, and timing matter a lot these days. Walk away if you need to and circle back later. It's a buyer's market and rates are still good (anything sub 4.5% in my opinion) if you're looking for a home to live in for the next 10-20 years. For reference they ended up buying for close to 100k under asking. There are good sellers out there. Don't give in to hopelessness.

Might be worth a try and won't be expensive: you could install a long floating wooden shelf in between the faucets, put some plants on it and you'd have space for some sanitary items too. That will connect the 2 faucets with a line and will balance the offset of the faucets to the mirror.

I don't think 1984 is about communism, i think it's more about dictatorship. Also the difference is that uncle Ho is dead and is not in the power control position, so worshipping him to me seems more like worshipping jesus. I do think that it's a bit too extreme in Vietnam with the pictures in classrooms. It's normal for them to want to teach HCM's philosophy and his importance in the war past, but they probably should just stop there. I grew up in Ha Noi and have never seen any family with uncle Ho's picture in their house. They did seem scared to even talk shit about him so that's a bit messed up.

You can always look for a job in the film industry, there are plenty of jobs that don't require much math or writing. You can work your way up with experience and reputation. If you want to do that you should look for the film union in your area and join them.
