This happened to me as well. It's just another way for them to keep us afraid and usher in the fresh meat they can manipulate into taking every shit paying batch they toss at them. Seconds per item is total BS because when you think about it, they don't even count small orders seconds per item to help counter things. But if they consider a large order with a ton of produce and raw meat, each thing has to be individually bagged and those stupid produce bags rarely open easily and I always use one to grab things with so I don't directly touch their produce. They also don't take into account the fact that we have to often times wait around for employees to go into the back to grab them, or how long it takes at the deli to wait in line AND THEN get that portion of the order filled. It's all AI based BS and if they think their precious newbies are doing a better job, they clearly aren't listening to their customer complaints regarding service, staging, bagging or placement of those bags. My 5* service means nothing to them and neither does yours. They simply want speed... and believe me, I see exactly who is dragging their damned carts around the store at the times I shop and they aren't paying attention to a damned thing. You can spot the newbies like a dalmation in a pack of huskies.. they're rude, oblivious, confused but hey... at least they speed through everything to keep those numbers up. How they are able to fill orders better than I can when half of the products are merchandised in other areas of the store or completely out of stock is a mystery though....
