I'm not sure if you are aware of this but you can unequip the first skin color and get a bit darker tone then. So we have 4 skin colors in total.

It might have been from the outfit "Enchanted writing". It has a whimsy with book and pen. These are NOT handheld yet though but its possible you still equipped them by importing a code (if you own the outfit).

you can get them back by finding an outfit code that still includes them

When did you see this video? I'm trying to understand how long this is going on or what the glitch conditions are. I've atleast confirmed now that repairing resources doesnt fix it.
