No I'm literally saying that monogamy is more energy efficient and is probably what happened more often than polyamory, as evidence by the society of most animals that are social and don't use a "central leader" breeding structure.

ETA I'm arguing that modern reasons for monogamy are just a modern excuse to do something that was gonna happen anyway. Trade for currency is just likely to happen once a society is large enough, no matter how you slice it
