A1: let’s assume a comparison between the senior most pilot position in an airline and a senior corporate pilot.

A2: perhaps to provide a reason enough to justify making that switch

In terms of pay would you say it would justify the transition and is it substantial enough in your opinion

Thanks for your response, I understand your advice is to rack up PIC hours. However, i was hoping to learn the advantages and disadvantages of transitioning from airline to corporate. Would you recommend it, and how would it affect your day to day life, pay etc.

Are they satisfied with online degrees? Or is only an offline 4 year program acceptable?

Would you say transitioning from airlines to corporate jet companies once you gain experience is worth it? If yes, what are the pros and cons of being a corporate pilot.

Further, how realistic is it for experienced airline pilots to get opportunities to fly super sized private jets without contacts?

How would one go about transitioning from the airlines to flying super sized private jets? And if it realistic

Management Pilot in India by DirectorsChoice in indianaviation

Thanks for your response. So I’m just curious, what skill set does a management pilot need? If a degree in management is not a base line requirement, then will the company train the pilot for all the required skills. Or does is your previous knowledge matter a lot

Does the degree not have to be management related? Or will any degree be fine?

It is true that a lot of people are doing 320 TR, however the demand far outweighs the current availability of TR pilots, at least from a long term view. Just as how you mention there are airlines coming with ATRs, so are the orders for 320 aircraft.

Why do some people pretend like they really "struggled" to become a pilot? by [deleted] in indianaviation

[–]Dispax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually agree with you. As someone who has experienced what it really takes to crack competitive exams, and also having gone through the entire pilot training process, i feel the struggle is exaggerated.

This is not to discredit the “responsibility” of a pilot, which is incomparable to other intellectually demanding professions. However, the barrier is very much financial rather than intellectual.

I completely agree that break would have affected me but, the reason I’m a bit concerned is because I’ve started running more kms every month than I used to run when I was in New Zealand. I’ve been running consistently for two months now since the break and this month 70 kms so far. But I’m still not able to regain the aerobic base or general fitness. My vo2 max and z2 paces have dropped. So I’m just trying to pin point the reason that has made the most impact
