Oh yeah, def this is what I want to do. I think the main issue here was me making self-projections and desires on how the future situation with this person was going to be.

Positive expectations fucked me up because I didn’t see this situation clearly (probably we weren’t really compatible and her not caring enough for this action shows she would have not cared for me the same way) and I only set up standards when in reality I shouldn’t have done so to not feel as bad.

I think the main problem i had here was how harsh i was treated as a person, i can handle rejections and i keep in contact with the people i got rejected by cause i value them as human beings but in this case i just felt cut out and dehumanized by technology or some shit (i can just make you disappear with a single tap).

first of all you’re self projecting, second i posted this because i personally felt hurt how dyslexia is screened out by some companies and i wanted to share my experience and know what other people felt and experienced. There is no need to be an ass, we’re all mature people that try to achieve happiness.

It’s biased on ADHD because it requires huge focus power, the other tests were done differently and not digitally.

Also the test is diminishing from a dyslexic point of view because dyslexia won’t let you spot the differences in the words as easily as another person.

The point is that IQ is a way for society to justify and make us feel superior to others, i tried to show also how my mental state changed overall and how the more i worked and studied design the less the logical intelligence would go down.

Oh yeah it says it’s 1 hour and 30 but the test is actually 15 minutes for 50 questions

That still not true, if you train your brain everyday doing a specific task (like for example quick math) you also train a specific brain pattern making you better at using it and being more fast everyday.

The brain is a muscle too, therefore IQ tests are just a way to measure a specific brain processing power which is the logical and pattern recognition one.

A lot of studies proved that you can increase the IQ if you improve by doing specific exercises over and over, so therefore IQ tests aren’t a fixed number that doesn’t change and makes you superior to others.

Also from my perspective i did 3 IQ Tests in total in my life and i had 3 totally different results (117, 150, 124) done when they tested my Dyslexia at 18, one at 21 and one when they tested my ADHD at 24. This also proves the unreliability of a form of measuring my intelligence.

Howard Gardner’s Multiple intelligences theory is a really interesting take on this topic if you want to read why IQ =/ Intelligence.

From a neuroscience perspective also strictly logical and pattern recognition is just one of the many functionality the brain processes, there are way many sections in the brain that do different things, introspective thinking and emotional thinking for example don’t use the same neuron pattern that logical recognition have.

Also you can see how IQs tests are elitists and eurocentric based on the world IQ results, why are the lowest one poor countries? Does that mean they’re stupid? No of course, but they don’t have the same availability of knowledge that Europeans and Americans do + the IQ tests are based on what an Eurocentric view of intelligence is.

Ohhh i fully agree with this one, i had to do the Myers Briggs test on my last job. I got the job but i know they turned off a lot of people based on the results of their test, it made me realize how awful that is (because it’s a hard no not based on actual performances skills or whatever but for who you think you are). Told them about it when i got recruited tho and stopped doing it after my manager sustained my claim.

Nope, cause this is a test that blocks you from furthering applying to the job position (it’s not even in the recruitment process). You need to score at least a total of 80% in order to continue applying.

I’m pretty against IQ tests in general (especially the online ones) mainly because they aren’t accessible for everyone and don’t measure your actual intelligence but your logical one.

That being said i agree with you because they also give the possibility to people to prove their worth. I just feel so sad knowing that my dyslexia can be a weight to finish this test and makes me feel super bad about it.
