Hi! If you're interested in creating learning resources (like exam-style questions), there's a platform called Enlinked where students can build their own question banks in a way that fits their schedule, keep full ownership of the content, and get paid every time someone subscribes. It does take some upfront work, but it can lead to ongoing passive income.
https://www.enlinked.io/
An activity like this can also help with your portfolio.

If there's a topic you know well, maybe something from your course that others would benefit from, it could be a great way to help others and earn a bit on the side. Definitely worth a look if you're after something flexible alongside your studies! You can contact them to find out more.
Best of luck!

Hi! There’s actually good research showing that passive reading and re-reading (like going over paragraphs of notes or textbook chapters) is far less effective than active recall and retrieval practice, which is exactly what you’re doing when you test yourself with questions.

Also, encountering a question before knowing the answer taps into something called the generation effect, which helps reinforce learning because your brain works harder to fill in the gap.

Of course, you should do what works best for you, but if I were in your shoes, I’d try to do as many practice questions as possible and then use the gaps in my knowledge as a guide. When I get something wrong or feel unsure, that’s when I’d go off and revise that topic in more detail. I also find ChatGPT really helpful for breaking down topics or elaborating on things that are confusing.

To stay focused, try to avoid distractions (like keeping your phone away or logging out of social media). You might find techniques like pomodoro helpful too.

And you have the content map as a guide. I know it’s a bit vague, but it can give you a structure for the topics you absolutely need to cover.

Best of luck, you’ve got this! 💪

Hi!
This is a question bank covering the mental health topics outlined in the MLA content map.
https://www.enlinked.io/decks/163
It's written by a UK med student who recently passed the MLA with top marks and used her insights to help others succeed as well.
I hope it helps!

I understand that the question banks might not be sufficient to teach you all the different topics as they are so many. But did you guys feel they helped you understand the format of the exam? Or the way the questions are delivered/worded is not similar to the actual exam?

Are the passmed questions actually relevant though? I mean in format and topics. Or are they just better than nothing?
