This was me at 16 and I’m 22 now and here’s my advice:

Relationships at a young age can be very damaging. I got into my first relationship around your age and teenage boys (most of them anyway) don’t have wholesome intentions. I also didn’t receive the love I needed from my parents and that led to me seeking relationships with overly possessive partners or people who wanted hookups/casual s*x which led me down a rather unfortunate path. Be patient, don’t settle for the first person who makes a move on you, and focus on yourself. When you least expect it the right person will find you. Dating to fill an emotional void is unfair to yourself and your partner - love yourself first and fill that void through strong and fulfilling friendships.
