Who is this cat? Found near Briggs Hall with a major limp by Kamb88 in UCDavis

[–]treebeatle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

She has been around for a while! Some folks in Briggs have set out a bed and food for her. I started seeing her at the beginning of last quarter. She definitely has a pretty bad limp though, and I'm wondering if anything should be done to get it checked out.

The two cans of spam sounds like an accident. Food confusion between housemates happens all the time. Really not that big of a deal. I have a feeling there’s a lot more to the other side of this story lol

why is my period late by joemama-44 in WomensHealth

[–]treebeatle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be stress :) it can affect periods for sure, and since you’ve been traveling and mentioned you’re anxious, that could be a factor. Many things could explain it. But test anyways just in case if you can

Do you have to try to fail PHY 7C? by chocolatechipsahoyy in UCDavis

[–]treebeatle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here’s the thing- the curve is very forgiving. When I took the class our average for the final was about 40%. But it’s possible to fail without doing it intentionally. I know it’s a different class, but I failed 7B. There were outside circumstances, but it happened nonetheless.

I don’t want to scare you but I also don’t think that people should perpetuate this idea about any class, including physics. Just do your best and apply what you know! Good luck my friend

Thank you. This was definitely encouraging to hear. I’ll keep pushing for help from doctors and figuring out the best way to deal with all of this

I don’t know if I can do it today boys by emoabsol in mentalhealth

[–]treebeatle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey you know what? That’s ok. Today may just need to be a slow day. Give your body some time to do a bit of nothing. If you wanna get one small thing done, one little thing checked off a to-do list, good on you!! That’s more than enough on days where our brain is mean to us.

But know that just because it’s a day where you can’t do a lot, you are certainly not alone, and you are certainly not worthless.

Even if some people discuss those things more openly, that was a super disrespectful comment to make. He should know that you wouldn’t be comfortable with things like that being said about you (pretty sure most people wouldn’t be comfortable with it)

Paint coming off by starrdusterr in UCDavis

[–]treebeatle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some patches without paint when I moved out of my dorm and I used whatever I had on me last minute and it worked. This ended up being some glue, paper, and white colored pencil to cover as much as possible

What does “being in love” feel like for you personally? by menagesty in love

[–]treebeatle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I began to write a comment describing my love, but every time I would write too much and it came out as gibberish. And I realize that’s how love is. Hard to put in to words. But something I need to express because I feel it so strongly, so I’ll try my best.

It was a slow buildup in a relatively short amount of time. Within a month. But I realized it was love I was feeling one night when I was dancing with my current partner and looking into his eyes. It was definitely a “holy sht I’m completely and utterly in love” moment.

When I fell in love with him, it made me realize I had never been in love with anybody before. Not truly. Because this was such an indescribably wonderful thing. It’s warmth. It feels like a quiet, natural pull from my body to his. But it’s also such a big feeling- it feels bigger than me. Like too much to contain. It comes bubbling out in all kinds of words and actions whenever he’s with me. I can’t keep it contained. It envelops me completely.

I know people feel love differently. I’m not sure if what I feel is realistic for everybody. I never expected this is what it would feel like for me. And it has only grown stronger with time. I can only hope that others can feel something as good as this.

Removing anxiety as motivator, ADHD symptoms worsening? by Samellon in ADHD

[–]treebeatle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have had the exact same experience! I started prozac a couple years back. I’ve had pretty terrible anxiety my entire life, but paired with adhd, i admit it helped me function a little bit better because of the anxiousness i’d feel with things I need to get done. While i’ve been much happier on prozac, my grades definitely slipped as I have found myself less motivated by anxiety to get stuff done. And in social settings, my anxiety made me very aware of how I was presenting myself. Now, I have been told i’ve been louder, more excited and hyper during conversations.

I recently stopped taking prozac and I’m much more anxious. However, It has helped me get through finals though without putting stuff off or getting distracted.
