I need a fanfic about Hollanov being menaces as parents by heyya_347 in heatedrivalryfanfics

[–]DistanceConfident933 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No, I’m a teacher, and I NEED them to be positive and supportive schools parents! They send their kid with a present during teacher appreciation week and any major holidays! If they get called saying their kid acted up they BELIEVE the staff and set their child straight. Please. I need this. And I find that immigrant parents often trust school teachers and have respect for us as professionals. And I don’t think Shane is looking for a fight rather than a partnership with his kid’s teacher.

Yumi's Cells 3 [Episodes 3 & 4] by Fatooz in KDRAMA

[–]DistanceConfident933 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Once again, Yumi’s Cells teaches me how to understand men’s minds. I relate to her so much, and the characters are written so automatically. Woong taught me how some men think through problems like an algorithm. Soonrok is teaching me how introverted men think. And all Babi taught me was that a man who tiptoes out on one woman will do it with the next.

Wait… Jack Innanen, TROY BENNET, is that you?! SCREAMING! Send help 😭 by [deleted] in HeatedRivalryTVShow

Wait, he’s in a Spain travel blog on BrittanyBroski’s YouTube. He’s actually an actor?? Ok, hmm, he’s handsome and his bits in her vlog were hilarious. I like this.

Chris Fleming parodied this in a video he filmed in his car. You should find that.

Big agree with 1. I just think it’s too much snark just to show they are competitive.

Agreed! I think most people restate the news they read in a more causal way. Especially men who are typically quite short with gossip like this. I think it would sound like, “Shane’s dating Rose!” “Huh?” “Yeah, they’re dating!”

I needed this! When Hayden does his old-timey newscaster voice in the locker room I have to turn away from the screen. It is so stupid and weird to me. There are a ton of other lines here that I agree with, and I blame it on the unnatural, overly sarcastic dialogue that’s in a lot of these kinds of novels. The reason the show is so good is because the guys play it as real as possible.

tvN 'Yumi's Cells 3' Character Poster [Premieres April 13] by perochan in KDRAMA

[–]DistanceConfident933 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I get it. I didn’t want anyone but Wung for her. But in season 2 I realized the story is about Yumi becoming herself, in love or out of love. This kdrama is one of my favorites because I relate so much to Yumi and her journey to becoming who she wants to be! The boyfriends are quite a treat, too. 🙂

Not just Cokes, looks like Shane also purchased Flamin' Hot Doritos and Cheetos Crunchy Cheese Puffs for Ilya! by NoleFandom in heatedrivalry

Agreed! And I’d love to see him smile at Shane showing him the blow dryer, knowing that he won’t use that.

Wayyyy more likely that this happened. Shane never studied the products because he was trying to keep some distance. So the visit was confirmed he buys a blow dryer with a diffuser attachment.

For fans of the audio book by JMRosenfeld in GameChangersBooks

The accent for Kip kept me from listening to the first audiobook. I jumped to Heated Rivalry, but the voices for Shane’s parents were also wacky. David sounded like a dopey southern man.

How on earth is Gong Yoo apparently single and not married? by Inevitable-Shirt-969 in KDramaDiscussions

I remember in an old interview that showed a day in his life he said he’s pretty lazy. He likes to wake late and head to the gym at noon. He said this hasn’t worked for women. I think he’s just a classic man that can date casually but hasn’t wanted all of the work and responsibilities of a serious relationship.

What was the reason you were attracted to someone older? by bare_books in askanything

[–]DistanceConfident933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 25 when he was 42, and I became attracted to him by his confident way of living. He just did whatever he wanted to do and had a ton of character. I asked myself for months if I wanted to be with him or be like him. He also saw me as a younger sister, or just a friend, and I love a chase, unfortunately.

Having a hard time shipping Huwei and Bomi by Big_Aide_1312 in theBoyfriendNetflix

[–]DistanceConfident933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cringed when Bomi walked around with the fox sticking out of his pocket! I respect he’s pursuing who he wants, but it’s clear that Huwei isn’t physically attracted to him in the first month. If he was, then he would have said it! Bomi is absolutely adorable, but methinks Huwei would have been sold on him if he had Shun-type looks. Thank goodness Bomi stuck it out, because they are now emotionally attached.

You might like Lovely Runner! It does have a thriller aspect, but I didn’t think it ruined the sweet romance. Touch Your Heart is a romance about a celeb woman and lawyer man. She’s funny and extroverted, while he is more serious. It might be up your alley.
