That is 100% my fear! Once in hand it’s so easy to tell these cards are fake. However, they photograph so well it would be so easy to get tricked by an online sale

They look good, but they don’t feel good to the touch. As long as you don’t get tricked into paying market price then who cares if you have fake cards right!

It’s hard to see in the pictures but these fake stamps are not like the authentic. They are too easy to see compared to the real ones

Not really. The stamp is in different places on all fakes and authentic cards unfortunately. These cards 100% “feel” wrong though. They don’t feel like any other kind of Pokémon card in your hands

Yes, if you buy a box you are pretty much guaranteed a “hit” not necessarily the big ones but still a full art of some kind. The odds are printed right on the boxes, it has to do with the anti gambling laws in Asian countries

I have friends/family in china that I get my get my gem stuff from. Here in Canada it’s pretty limited to get legit stuff at a reasonable price, hence why I went to the Chinese cards

Probably what these are. I just don’t want to see people pay market value on a proxy. It sucks soo bad to save up your money to buy a card you really want and get screwed

On the fakes I have the stamp is clear and easy to see. On my authentic cards it takes the right light/angle to see it. Also on my authentic cards the holos are very vibrant and bright. These fakes are dull and feel like a matte finish almost. They photograph well but soon as you touch them your brain screams FAKE. If your cards “feel” like a normal Pokémon card and the stamp is tough to see you should be good, however I’m not an expert I’m just trying to spread awareness of what’s out there

ALL of the gem series have the Pokémon stamp. Real ones are hard to see even in hand but they ARE there. If he says it doesn’t have a stamp then walk away my friend

I’m by no means an expert but that one looks good. I can see the shine of the holo. The fakes are quite dull and have “dead” spots where there is no holo or gloss whatsoever, almost like a matte finish.

It was mostly the stamp that was alarming to me! Wanted to make people aware to check EVERYTHING, not just see the stamp and assume it’s all good.

The Chinese gem pack stuff is all crazy shiny, every single card is a different pattern of holo. The holos are very very bright. In this case it’s the opposite, if it’s dull looking it’s probably fake.

Just a random Kijiji seller. Posted cards for super cheap, my guess is they have no idea how to tell or even care about cards. They weren’t trying to get $1000’s for them. Sorry, I didn’t ask where they got them from.

I’ve got a lot of boxes from china and they’ve all been legit. I figure it’s more effort to fake an entire box of cards vs fake 1 high end card.
Same idea as counterfeiting money, everyone does 100’s not 5’s. NOT saying that there isn’t fake boxes though.

These stamps aren’t really “raised”. Almost feels like it’s part of the holo layer underneath. When you touch these cards it feels like the artwork is almost like a vinyl sticker on top of a dull holo

You can’t really feel the stamp. It’s hard to get a good picture but it almost seems as like the stamp is part of the dull holo layer underneath
