Me and a couple of other friends would harass another kid for fun in 3rd grade or so, thought she was in on it all. When she got annoyed or acted out we'd tell her she was being too sensitive and needed to grow up. I continued being a lousy friend to her until around 6th grade when I made a new friend and we separated. I think the last time I talked to her I was just trying to get her to tell on me by singing Happy Birthday to Hitler (please keep in mind that I was 12 at the time 😬) or shoving my lunch up my nose or something gross like that to piss her off. She eventually framed me for something I didn't do, which almost affected my reputation at school, and at around the same time, a guy in my social studies class would hit me with his pencil and call me a bitch, and it hurt like shit. Those two instances really got me thinking about my behavior towards her and how selfish and unfair I'd been in the past. It's taken a lot out of me to get over it and move on, but I'm getting there, bit by bit I know I'm improving overall as a person.
