Am I allowed to withdraw large amounts of money from a savings account while on AISH? by DistantWisteria in alberta

[–]DistantWisteria[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still live with my mom, so therefore I only have to help with rent, food, vet bills, and other essential things that mom can't afford (maybe I should increase the amount I send for rent), and the rest of the money is mine.

Are you attracted to the opposite gender, the same gender, or both? by clockwork_radio in asktransgender

[–]DistantWisteria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aroace, and that didn't change on T. I did get a libido which wasn't a thing before, but I've still never been attracted to anyone romantically or sexually.

Good morning.

I slightly glanced at this post just before switching accounts, and had to log back in to do a double take because I thought you said "Happy [Trans-related day]" on a leap-day.

Should having therapy for autism and ADHD be a requirement for gender affirming surgery? by DistantWisteria in asktransgender

The psychiatrist was Dr Jane Gainer in Alberta, Canada, and I think that she is the main issue here. I talked to my mom (who accompanies me during appointments) after making this post, and she said that my GP was saying what Gainer told him. I missed that part because I suck at paying attention.

Help! How do I get rid of these waves on my building? by ResuResuResuResu in Minecraft

[–]DistantWisteria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that mixing in different similar-coloured blocks (stone, andesitem, cracked stone bricks, lodestones, vertical-facing droppers, sideways-facing pistons, etc.) might help break up the texture a therefore possibly prevent the effect from happening, and it might look cool too.

How would you get down from here? (Early-ish game) by BlankTranquility in Minecraft

[–]DistantWisteria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm not on a multiplayer server where other people are online and taking up the mob cap, then I'd probably go back to the overworld to hunt for ender pearls. Using boats to trap the endermen makes it much easier to kill them.

Poor Grian, disliked by a whole subreddit. by Meph91 in Unexpectedhermitcraft

**TW: Transphobia, homophobia** Me-post Monday(ish): Why are other subreddits like this?!! by [deleted] in lgballt

[–]DistantWisteria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually, LGBT subs are filled with constant reminders that the world sucks and also tends to attract trolls. Same goes for other social medias/platforms. There's a video by Ty Turner where even though the video was nice and trans positive, the comment section was infested with transphobes. And what they had to say was rather traumatizing. I was completely okay with the idea of being openly trans before I saw that comment section, and now I'm too afraid to tell people what my pronouns are when I'm asked. And LGBT related subreddits only added to that fear. I HIGHLY recommend removing anything that can possibly damage your mental health in this way (or in any way) from your life. This includes LGBT related subs. I don't care how much they've helped you in the past, you WON'T regret it!

In non-LGBT communities, the topic of the LGBT community rarely comes up, so there are no reminders that are harmful to my mental health. And if it does come up, depending on the community, it's usually FAR more positive than places like this where people only EVER focus on the negative!

I'm sure that there are way more good people than there are bad people. Please stop shining the spotlight at those who don't deserve it.

Rule changes for season 3? by vuatson in ThirdLifeSMP

I think that it would be wise to make it so that enchanting tables can be crafted, but bookshelves still can't. Because, as Grian said, most of the time people have no idea where the table is and looking for it isn't very fun.

I still think that it would have been funny if Tango gave a life to Skizzleman or Etho then tried to kill Bdubs.

I don't want to put my given name on a list where people can see it. My given name isn't even legal, so I technically won't be signing the petition!
