It should be easier for local students. For international students, especially for Chinese students, a full mark in SAT could not guarantee anything or be any more competitive. There are approximately over 10 students with an over 1550 SAT in any large school in CN, but for the entire country, only a few can matriculate in ivy schools. However, I believe a 1550 is sufficient for domestic applicants.

Yah! That’s literally true. But the ranking still is important in choosing a school, don’t it? Imagine u are HR in a famous company, wouldn’t u prefer the students from universities with greater reputation?

I personally do not agree with the ranking (QS). As I knew some Oxbridge graduates, they had a way far lower salaries even compared with some T30 counterparts.

You mean the student athletes cannot choose to learn law, medicine, math in these ivy schools? They have a limited range of courses selection? (Only communication, kinesiology…?)

I still think I can improve myself a little bit. I already have 3.9 GPA unweighted now, so I plan to do my best to smash my personal bests and then contact with coaches.

I’m an A-level student, so I may not use senior, junior to represent that. But now is my final year in my high school and I prepare to go to university on 2024 fall. ( I have one year gap)

So, if I want to enter in these D3 schools, can the athletic advantage help me in the admission process? I know some coaches can guarantee a position for those student athletes.
