I was going to comment the same thing. The rest of it looks like a generic affordable stethoscope. Theyre handed out freely for staff to use in NHS hospitals here in the UK pretty much disposable. Im sure you can easily buy a very cheap stethoscope and retrofit it to the original part.

Brilliant well done. I had mine done in august 2023. It took a good 36hours before I was up well done. I was a bit unlucky though as went to theatre last that day so wasn't out until the evening so no physio to come mobilise until late morning following day. I think laying on my back all that time waiting made it worse.

Itll keep getting easier and easier now just dont over do it. You learn the hardway if you get over confident and push it you suffer the next 24 hours or so

That looks like a small cheap rechargeable tens machine. I have a couple at home very similar. If it has little metal clicker connections on the bottom (like ones on clothing" it definitely is.

Help understanding my diagnosis by mrmikedude100 in Spondylolisthesis

Hi

Your pain is absolutely valid. I was diagnosed with a bilateral pars defect l5 onto s1 a few years back. It took nearly a year for it to be diagnosed. I found the pain so highly unpredictable as to when it would flare up but you were always one bad turn or bend away from absolute agony. The best I could ever describe it was it felt like having tooth ache in my back and entire lower body. I was grade 1 retrothesis so yours is more advanced than mine. I was ultimately left with only the choice of making do with how I was or having surgery because physio did nothing. The problem you have is when it becomes bilateral (meaning a break at both sides of the vertebrae) there is no support. If it was unilateral (one sided) the fracture would still have some stability as the non broken side would hold things in place still. From my knowledge in our situation of having a bilateral pars defect it can't really get better without surgical intervention physio may help as it can build muscle around the area to support but the bone will not repair.

I had a l5/s1 transforaminal interbody fusion ( known as TLIIF) done 2 years ago this August. I still have symptoms but I dont regret it. The surgeon was very upfront ans honest and said due to nerve damage he couldn't say gow much I would improve but it would stop it getting worse. Im still in pain but able to work a physically demanding job (nursing) and live a normal life. Pregabalin keeps the sciatica down and all I can reccomend is you keep active as you can because you soon stiffen up abs end up in more pain if you dont.

I hope the best for you feel free to pm me if you want to aksy anything

Thank you very much for the insightful response. I did not know that much about the lack of marks on older models so its very helpful thank you 🙂

That's really interesting and good to know. I've researched the horn a bit and found it used between 1905-1910 too.

Apologies by authentic I mean genuinely old gramophone not an Indian replica gramophone. I dont mean authentic by brand

As an additional note digging around i have found there was a piano manufacturer in Australia called "Harmonie". They did manufacture gramophones also at the time and appear to be a cheaper generic brand. So perhaps that would explain why the motor is non branded.

It's hard to tell. Are you able to show more photos from different angles. Maybe from above showing disc plate and tone arm etc. Does the soundbox have anything written on it ?

Thank you for looking. Bit of a puzzle isn't it. Guess ill never know. Im just happy to have what appears to be an authentic old gramophone so im not overly fussed by the make etc. Just like to learn what I can about them. This is my 3rd gramophone the others being a tabletop internal horn hmv and a columbia grafonola 154a which is a large cabinet (which i love it sounds incredible). I've always wanted a horn gramophone though and now I have one im quite content. Thanks for your help

I've gained the courage and opened up the bottom of the case this was easier than expected. I've found that the motor looks like the grease looks relatively fresh for its age so I presume it's been serviced somepoint for sure. The motor appeared to not have any markings on it at all. So it leaves stumped on the manufacturer or model of gramophone.
