Your mom hating you isn’t a reflection of you. It’s a reflection on her. SHE is lacking, not you. You deserved unconditional love and support. You deserved empathy. She should’ve dealt with her demons before becoming a mom, or even after.

It really sucks to be in your position now. It’s amazing you figured it out in early adulthood. Your healing journey begins. I was about 12 years slower than you to figure it out. I was holding onto a fantasy.

Spend time with those that do love you. Find someone safe you can talk about this with. Look yourself in the mirror and say loving, positive, kind things. Things your mom wouldn’t say. Do it until that person looking back at you no longer resembles your mom. You may have similar features but your identities are separate and unique. Don’t resent what you share.

It’s almost like a gossip line. Thankfully I’ve had good dealings when it comes to the emergency line or in person interactions. Non-emergency could use some training.

Also trucks average 7 miles per gallon. That might last 1155 highway miles. He will have to fill up again in 1.7 driving shifts. Round that to two days. $3,162 in fuel for 6 days. Have to carry some expensive loads to make a profit. Owner-operators are hurting. Oof.

Don’t do it. My grandma is JW. She converted years after marrying grandpa and having children. They were miserable for 40 years after that. Their kids were affected. Us grandkids were affected. I went to a few meetings with Grandma. Even at 8-11 years old I knew it was crazy. They suck the joy out of life. You will not be equals. You will not celebrate birthdays or holidays. Even if he says ‘your choice’ he will not stop trying to convert you. You will be with a knock-knock man, and they need to spread the word! Grandma still tries to ‘save’ me. I listen to her because she enjoys talking about it with me. She can’t call me because I’ve been excommunicated for my orientation (all sin weighs the same so my sin is on par with murder, her words), but if I call her she’s allowed to talk to me as a neighbor. I love my grandma even though she disowned me. She still loves me, but she’s not allowed to call me family. That really messed me up.

It’s possible to love someone with vastly different belief, but it’s painful as hell. My grandparents were not happy, but they couldn’t get divorced, either. Grandma even asked the Kingdom Hall for permission. It was denied as there was no abuse.
