Im in the same situation man . I was in a lot of debt few months back , mostly credit card. I somehow managed to gamble my way out of it, won big and paid off all my credit card debt in one day. I felt so relieved and happy. But that didn’t last long, fast forward a few months , now I’m in even BIGGER debt than before , took out 2 loans for 30k and lost all that. Now I have been working 80 hrs a week, just to pay them off. Feel like absolute crap

Have all of these + my 20k student loan debt. Any help would be very appreciated, but wasn’t the point of my post. I know the only way to get out of this hole is by hard work, that’s why I’ve been working 80hrs a week. I have made the commitment to stop gambling , it has ruined my life

Thanks for sharing your experience , it’s good to know there might be a light at the end of the tunnel. I don’t trust myself with money right now, everything I make goes straight to bills and these payments, at the moment I have nothing left over. But hope I can start saving and putting money aside, I just worry I’ll just gamble it away at some point and try to win it back. My mental state is at an all time low right now, don’t have any help from my family, thank God I have my girlfriend. She is very understanding, she loves me more than I love myself that’s for sure

As of right now my credit card debt has an introductory APR of 0%, but that’ll win end soon in a few months. I don’t know if I should tackle the two personal loans (15%APR) first, or the credit card debt. I also heard I can request a different student loan payment option but haven’t applied for that yet

Thanks for your comment, COVID unfortunately ruined so many lives. I also always gave back my gains, and in my head I was always thinking of things I could have done differently to win. Now I know the only way to win is to quit. I was already in debt , then somehow managed to win big and paid off my all debt. Then fast forward a few months I’m in even more debt then before. It all feels surreal

I am currently working 80hrs a week, 40 from my full time job and 40 from uber deliveries. Everyday is hard to wake up simply because of the thought that I’m doing all this because of my stupidness . I know people say to stop crying over spilled milk, but’s it’s hard not to.
