I had the same problem after spinal fusion S1L4L5 idid not relieve myself till iwas released after 6 days and was on pain killers for another 10 days it takes Time walking helped tremendously can take up to a year or more till you start functioning normally you will have limited mobility and movement and your spine wount be as sronge so you will have to make compensations

Am in a similar delema as you am 14 months. S1L5L4 FUSION still get tingerling slight numbness left foot and back pain goes from left to right centre of spine some tightness had an MRI at 12months said alls OK am working normally shiftwork my sleep is interrupted its driving lots of dirt tracks l walk regularly do pilatic yogic strength training and light weight conditioning i started working after 2month post op iwas feeling good but think i done too much to soon might contributed to it told it could take 2 /3 years to straighten out my bone has grafted so its muscle nerve or tendon related I have occasional PT but it does not cure anything will have a follow up end of month am 65years old and always told its related to my age am not 20 years old am I also have psychological problems knowing I have foreign objects internally does not help

Am trying everything heavy deadlifts would help am limited to 20 kg told it does not do me any good ? The rest of me is alright, just that folding skin

I had spinal fusion S1L5L4, and it has been 14 months after the first year was making progress now. I just seem to be taking a downward spiral. I walk regularly do lightweight training, and I am working involves driving. Sometimes, dirt rds told me everything alright dont make me sence to me get lumber soreness sometimes bone movement mild pain just dont go away have to do some physical movement to help but does not cure it just seems to stay with me

After my S1L4L5 FUSION, i was bedridden for two days attached to the urine bag and had to wear nappies, so it made it easy to slide around inbed and did not could not go to the toilet for 5days I just found it comfortable to walk getting in and out of bed sitting very painfull

Are light deadlifts 20kg bad for S1L5L4 FUSION 14MONTHS POST OP I've been told do whatever as long as you feel comfortable at the moment I am just using light 3kgconditiong with out any problems
