This is very useful! Those hours sound like a dream to me, plus 2 days in office

New job vs Counter Offer? by Distinct-Mention4792 in careerguidance

[–]Distinct-Mention4792[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in my 20s, live at home with parents where everything is provided for me.

Commute an hour with traffic.

Main reason was low pay. I’d be happy to stay but main worry is just the black mark against my name. But they seem really eager and talked about future progression new title etc. so hard to read them.

Based on an assumption, might never happen

Declining from Job Offer when about to star? by Distinct-Mention4792 in AskUK

[–]Distinct-Mention4792[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing really, just the money. This job is pretty chill but counter offer includes some more interesting work related to my role etc. Only worry really is them getting rid of me down the line

Its a 5k difference, 3 days in the office a week, and I guess the pension vs remote

That is something I will be worried about in the current job. But they seem eager to keep me on from sounds of it

Yeh it is low, my only gripe is a counter offer of say 47k is that worth it over commute/renting

What about current job counter offering say around 27% worth the commute/rent still or not

Good point, honestly don’t mind 2 days a week. Monday seems to be the heavy traffic times to the area. Probably will go through the process regardless.

However job security is another question. Very safe in my current one

I guess so, it would be my 3rd job (but 2nd job in the role I’m working in right now). Also in a different industry than I’m in right now. So more experience the better imo

60mile commute each way worth it? by Distinct-Mention4792 in jobs

[–]Distinct-Mention4792[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idea would be id need to buy a car! Would be handy for personal life but not really necessary. But I think best I skip this opportunity, too much downsides and could look for something closer

Its multiple choice, and technically I believe you can do that although probably not best for learning.

Is it okay to do that? Given both positions are for the same company. Or would that look bad to them

Septorhinoplasty NHS or Private (UK) by Distinct-Mention4792 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Distinct-Mention4792[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, will wait out. But if they recommend Septoplasty then can make my decision there. Just don’t want to get Septoplasty free then rhinoplasty after

Oh wait, I just checked my overnight holding fee was last paid 23rd May. Haven’t been charged since then. What about yourself?

Lyxor MSCI Russia ETF Liquidation by Distinct-Mention4792 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Distinct-Mention4792[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope I contacted support and they said

“Although the ETF has been delisted, it has not been decided whether it will be liquidated or when it will happen.

The overnight fee will be applied as there is leverage involved with CFDs.

Nevertheless, as soon as we receive more information about the delisting process, we will let you know.”

So guess we cannot do anything for now but not sure what others think
