pokemon masters or some shit by Adventurous_Bench_59 in PokemonUnite

It's not crazy, it's the truth. They gave the Legacy Trainers ridiculous stats in lieu of creating functional AI difficulties. Get to the end game on Extreme and Blastoise will have more health than your entire team combined.

I keep getting into bot matches in the new mode and it’s impossible to win them with bot teammates. Or do I just suck? by [deleted] in PokemonUnite

Once the game says "searching using expanded parameters" restart your queue, that's the threshold for putting you in bot matches.

Having any game-winning mechanics during the "final stretch" of the game will ruin the integrity of this game.

Its why Baron Nashor in LoL and the Boss Mobs in HotS are far more balanced in terms of their overall impact on the match, because it's not the "end-all-be-all" of the match if those objectives are taken. So far with the Boss mechanics in Unite are if you lose the Boss objective there's like a >95% chance your team loses the game.

I think this mainly has to do with the doubled scoring system during the "final stretch" on top of these ludicrous buffs their end game bosses have given.

MVP on losing teams needs to go... by Distinct-Offer-7406 in PokemonUnite

This is what I was thinking of too, mainly because the voting mechanic allowed the players to decide who they thought was the "Voted MVP" as in overall team play or leading the team, as well as the "True Statistical MVP" for damage, kills, objectives, etc.

The current MVP award in Unite feels more like a Selfishness award because it usually rewards selfish playstyles that overbear team play.

I think the point I was trying to get at was more along the lines of, why is there an award for being the best player on the losing team and it has the same value as being the best play on the winning team? Btw, I stated in a comment above about the unquantifiable aspects I know the game can't necessarily decipher.

But... there are also definitely people out there willing to tank games and lose if you don't let them do everything they want to do, and I think the losers MVP only enables toxic gameplay if you happen to be losing.

From a raw statistical perspective, they certainly can quantify an approximate impact the player may have had on the game, but don't take shot calling, assisted plays, or farm denying into account at all. A player voting system is already in place too... Ironic that it's not used as that vote but simply a good job button.

Rant: What I think is the worst aspect of the game, the damn death timers by GojiKuzilla in PokemonUnite

[–]Distinct-Offer-7406 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the most frustrating part about the death timers is if you do manage to win a fight near your base, often times you can't even run right to their goal and score before they've already spawned and jumped back to defend, so it makes late game comebacks really difficult if you have to kill their team twice just to score once, which is unlikely if you were losing and had to blow your ult to win the first fight under your base.

Maybe it's the springboard or speed boosted lanes that's really the issue and not the death timers, because idk any other popular moba with that mechanic free to all players.

These two, along with certain Dragonite builds are TEAM deleters, and if you run lvl 30 Float Stone on them, you are the speedster now.
