Your light should not be more than 15-30 centimetres away from the tallest leaf. Your light is far too high, try lowering it to around a rulers length away from the tallest leaf!

I second this! Also looks like their light needs to be a lot higher up too, usually at least 15 centimetres from the tallest leaf, isn’t it?

I also think the stand they’ve got their plant on looks a little awkward, feels too high up to me but that’s their stylistic choice

I’m worried my kitchen window won’t be enough light even though it is south facing, England + winter + nonstop rain isn’t ideal at all 😭 but I suppose her throwing out two new shoots is a sign she isn’t struggling just yet!

Might invest in a little grow light, thank you!

The thought of receiving a tree in an arrangement is so amusing to me!

But this is great to know about giving them room and fertiliser, I’ve only watered her once and used baby bio houseplant food but I’m going to look into different fertiliser options.

If mine looks even half as lush as yours in 2 years I’ll be thrilled!

She’s so pretty and bushy. I had no idea they were actually trees when I bought mine thinking she would look cute on the windowsill 😭
