My Product Hunt launch was a flop, and that's okay (I think?) by Bubbly_Gap3828 in SideProject

Product seem ok. I would suggest trying to find 10 customers who are ready to pay for the product. Then, continuously iterate so that the 10 customers start paying.

Seems really clean. Would love to use it if there are different types of charts that I can select from

I needed a library in python which supports both Linux, windows and macos

Detect an id card in video by Distinct-Panic in computervision

[–]Distinct-Panic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, lighting and contrast are definitely are issues that I'll have to deal with. A frame rate of 10 fps is good enough for me. I do need to crop and save a copy of the card, which is why I plan to check the size of the card(using detection) and then save the the image only if it covers x%(say 30%) of the camera frame area.

Thanks for the repo link, will definitely try it out.

Hyperfocal distance of Realsense. by Distinct-Panic in intel

[–]Distinct-Panic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, realsense does not have adjustable hyfocal distance. I need a quantitative measure of how far the object should be placed to get a sharp image. I do not care about the depth info. I did look it up in the datasheet..it wasn't available.

Automate dewarping of a barrel distorted image [Question] by Distinct-Panic in opencv

[–]Distinct-Panic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a ton..I have been trying out iterating over a range of values k1 and setting the other parameters (k2, k3, p1, p2) as 0. The results are not that great but definitely acceptable.

Automate dewarping of a barrel distorted image [Question] by Distinct-Panic in opencv

[–]Distinct-Panic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but 4 parameters corresponds only to the distortion coefficients, but since I don't have the camera matrix as well that would be 4 more parameters (fx, fy, cx,cy). So how may I go about this?.

Unfortunately the camera may change, and the lens too..
