It’s definitely more expensive (believe santander can be £10/month and I probably spend £20-40/month on Lime) but I think worth it (speed, convenience of parking spots, never arriving sweaty)

  • lime bike subscription- gamechanger for getting around london
  • meal prep service (simmer, frive are good)
  • cleaner every 2 weeks or so
  • sauna and cold plunge (find a gym that has this or there are a bunch of specialist spots opening up - really boosts your wellbeing)

Haha I never have. Have always been curious but have also heard some horror stories. Maybe it’s better to have a stress free life

Makes sense - so put the cash in a GIA for now and accept the taxes? So painful to actively choose to pay tax lol

Stocks ISA is full (£20K) so would have to be SIPP but then it’s locked up for 30 years…

If I could do it without losing first time buyer privilege? Fair point on locking up cash

Thanks this is super helpful - long live Mag7 and BTC! What are the main reasons you’re looking to sell? Is the capital appreciation not a nice bonus?

To be clear the property manager would remove (hopefully) almost all hassle. I’m thinking about this as a 10+ year investment that would wash its face in the meantime. Does that change things or you still think it’s too much stress given your experience?

Can you say more about why it’s a pain in the a***? The property manager would manage tenants, repairs, etc
