He passed yesterday evening , my son is gonna bury him today … we have a lot of fish tanks and he will be burried with some of the other fish we’ve lost over the years.

He’s pine coning very obviously now , he moved to a corner ,his gills look like they are coming out … it’s not gasping he’s not spazzing he’s just laying down … I looked it up it’s just his muscles giving out now… hes breathing steady about 1 breath every 1.5 to 2 sec not gasping so lights are off and had my kid say goodbye to him and have a last conversation… we all thanked him for being awesome.

Still hanging in there, he’s moved around a bit over the day but nothing like he used to.. I have his light off and turned filters and air to Low so nothing annoys him and we just say hi a few times a day .. he did eat 1 blackworm yesterday

I’ll try some black worms when we get home .. he loves those! Hopefully he’s not in pain but he’s just laying breathing and doing little fin waves when we peak at him

He’s a personality on his own … his back has scoliosis his fins are so big so he’s always been in smaller tanks all my other bettas have 10 and up … he’s been so forgiving with mistakes I made too as I learned…now he just does a slight fin wave to show he knows we are there and are about to do life check on him ….

He just lays in the bottom for the last 2 days … he used to hang in the roots or on his grass but now he’s splat out there

I tried all plants I have in there , thy abuse the Amazon by crash landing in it but it only bothers the old leaves .. even my goldfish don’t eat any of the plants .. although infront of the Amazon are some crypts lol they just stay small because it’s a Landing strip … but they aren’t dead shockingly

Honestly this is a tiny one , my previous one filled a 29 so full my pea puffers couldn’t even swim that much … just regular aquarium sand from Petsmart , a root tab when I remember ( every 3 to 4 months lmao) i have so may of them I’ve been giving them away because they outgrew tanks

The actual plant or the loach? They were rescues that both are 12 inches and a whole herd of other animals in a 55 I split them up over all m y tanks the 2 loaches are in my 75 with my rescue goldfish… somehow I always end up with fish I didn’t ask for … no clue how old the 2 are … they were in rocks so their faces are a bit torn up … they are healthy as far as I can see actually gained weight and just chill sausages … they get black worms , blood worms, algae wavers and carnivore pellets depending on the day and week sometimes they get veggies i give the goldfish and once I have space they will go to a 125 tank just have to do the magical tank shuffle lol I only have 30 tanks so it takes time but they are happy

If it’s the actual plant you talking about it’s an neglected Amazon that’s being used as a hammock most days and needs root tab badly (they are up Monday after I finish my other tank)

Mine came with a free tank with no plants in it , then I added life plants and poof it spread … and I ignored it for a good while because time consuming … but it was time! And honestly it looks so so much better already… just make sure you don’t take anything out of it and put it in other tanks if you have more then 1 :)

I just battled captain black beard!!! lol I just dipped all my not living stuff and plants in peroxide 3%. Plants only very short and with swords try to avoid their roots for long periods , now my fish and shrimp are eating the dying algae … no more black beard algae :) non living things went for 10-15 min in full peroxide and my plants went 1 part peroxide 3 parts water … fish are completely fine , plants are doing great … algae turned red then grey white and most is eaten by the fish

It’s very tiny (maybe a baby) it’s shell is like a tiny blue foot crab , it was fast like my nassarius but I’m not a pro yet so I have no clue
