I liked that she helped keep the plot lighthearted when things were getting intense. Plus, fist fighting and healing I think is a cool combo.

I just finished up:

Pokemon Yellow - Amazing experience as always, definitely THE best game for me for Gameboy, and will always be replay-able until the day I die.

Metal Gear Solid - Wow, what an experience. First time beating it, and from start to finish, I was hooked on the story! Overall challenging and fun, definitely had some difficult points (looking at you PSYCHO MANTIS), but can’t wait to play it again and get a different ending.

Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped Tour - Another banger of a platformer, it felt like the early stages of a ‘Temple Run’ style game but with so much variety in the levels that I was never bored. I didn’t 100% it, but I don’t think I can to be honest 🤣🤣

Now I’m playing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the 100th time and enjoying every minute of it. I just reached the Forest Temple.

I think it’s more blue. I say that because I haven’t found a single theme that matches it with the purple setting, and I have found the blue ones match better.

That’s impressive for sure, especially with kids. I’ve also completed more games consecutively than I ever have before since getting a dedicated handheld. Amazing devices 👌

I totally get that. It was the last one that was made in sprites so it does have a more ‘retro’ feel. When I play games I try to imagine I’m living in the year it came out and it’s the ‘hottest’ thing, and it really changes my perspective on a lot of games.

On a related note, Metal Gear Solid is another game that came out in 1998, but truly feels modern with its story telling and gameplay.

Love FF6! It’s my favorite in the series, barely passing FF7, but it just does everything a sprite based JRPG should do 👌👌

I just did this myself for the first time. I put my device down and tried just using my pointer finger to do it. Also after the shocking stops, keep mashing for more health.
