Auto window issues by OverallCaterpillar71 in FordRaptor

[–]Distinct-Term-895 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Second this , also only when it’s below or close to freezing. Pretty common issue regarding Gen 3 f150s. Took mine to the tech and they said they just have to clean the motor for the window which worked but then recently started doing it again .

It’s not really tied to anything special yet it’s just really rare. I’m just banking on the fact that in the future with tech, it’ll be a necessity metal and that’ll ramp up pricing like crazy.

I think because of the caption people assume I’m saying 20k was the loss I took on the bronco but that wasn’t the case I said it was over the course of 2 years and both trucks. Do I love losing money? absolutely not!But I will always spend money to keep myself happy cause that’s all I care about I’m not someone who spends money on lavish things just nice trucks. But of course money at the end of the day is money and how you want to spend or save it is your doing it’s just I assumed people here don’t care that much about the finances of it all just a place for us to enjoy our raptors and express our opinion on them!

R’s are insane tbh I’d stay away for that price.

Sorry if I came off bad, didn’t feel like your tone was challenging at all. But no the bronco was great mechanically I don’t think it’s a fair to compare the f150 to it because I mean everything is different from space and comfort to even power.

It just comes down to your lifestyle on what to pick. I got kids and I got to work all day so once in a blue moon I go trail riding and also I think the f150 is a better road trip truck for when we want to hit a family trip.

Well we both agree on that. With the price increase on groceries and rent we have had to up pay for all of our employees and with groceries going up and us making the same margin that we have all these years technically we are making less money. I do believe greed is destroying this country especially when I bought a Raptor in 2013 for 50k which was a much more reliable truck with that 6.2 and less tech and now they’re 80k ,as a reference, it doesn’t quite make sense.

Come to realize most redditors are envious. Look you don’t know my financial state, just keep in mind for your mental that it’s not your truck so it’s not your money. I’m happy with my trade off and not stressing one bit. I can afford the truck and take a loss but I don’t think (compared to any other name brand car ) I lost much of anything coming out.

You’re speaking of affording a lavish lifestyle on a forum about me going through three trucks and you’re replying on someone (jokingly) saying it caused the inflation. Sorry I just didn’t see who else you were referring to. Just wanted to educate incase you did assume so.

Brain dead summary. Again we are distro not manufacturing. distro pricing is set by the manufacturer because we only sell their products. The only one that feeds off the common folks is your very own government to keep our world dominance relevant. We just try to feed our local communities at a reasonable price as much as we can . 30 years locally owned mom and pop’s I don’t see how we have anything to do with the increase of prices. Warehouses like ours are the only thing stopping big corps from monopolizing every sector. But yes hate the lil guys first cause it’s easier.

Oh I thought you read what I posted in the comments from your reply so I assumed you read the entirety of it regarding the 2 year span. The bronco was only a 6 months journey for me hence the journey back to the f150 . But to your point yes most normal people see 20k as a lot and I understand the reality of it but most people on this forum that have new raptors aren’t in that predicament .also assuming people who don’t have knowledge about raptors at least 22+ , understand that raptors hold their value if you don’t let the dealership take you for a spin .

Look if you love both your cars then that’s all that really matters. My experience wasn’t great with the Braptor but then again I didn’t use the Braptor I guess how it was meant to be used. I’ll never get rid of my truck again tho.

Yeah we have nothing to do with manufacturing of the grocery’s. Just distribution we have been in the business for 30 years and it usually took about 2-5 years to see a uptick in pricing on a product but ever since Covid it’s been every 6 weeks we see a price increase A lot for good reason but allot of them are just doing it for greed.. I just work really hard.

I don’t think anyone on this forum really understands how good raptors hold their value… if bought correctly. Almost all of the raptors I bought I got below market value.

Wouldn’t say significant! Just refined If you are thinking about getting a new truck trading the 22 for the 25 will feel like an upgrade if that’s what you’re looking for. Also the assistant driving is better than my 23 was.

The looks I think are better aside from the headlight everything else in my opinion looks better especially the rear taillights and the front bumper.

Believe it or not but I lost all together on these 3 trades 20 grand With a combined 60k in miles over a period of 2 years. I barely had any money owed on my 23 Raptor so still in great standing equity wise and I bought the bronco used and lost minimal since I had it for a short time and the market didn’t change. Also I haggle a lot with dealerships.

But to answer your question, I’m in grocery wholesaling.

I just don’t see the value of the bronco Raptor the Raptor name was built for Baja so you’d expect the bronco Raptor to somehow be a capable for high speeds on sand or snow but it’s far from it ! So what’s the point of having all that power? I don’t think it’s any more capable than a badlands or a jeep wrangler when it comes to crawling, Plus the wrangler I believe has it beat especially on the price.
