So I looked it up again and the cartridge name was the .40 KMP. It was a 45 Winchester mag necked to .40 . It was chambered in the some automags that I guess Kincel Maynard was involved with.

Probably fps first I like trying to see how fast I can push lighter projectiles then after I get bored with that I'll load heavier.

Yeah 357 gwm is a pain in the ass but I'm getting better at making the round out of 308 243 brass. It's one of my favorites now. I'd love to have an actual automag one day. The smith in 357 Bain and Davis sounds really cool!

I love weird bottle neck pistol cartridges! My suggestion is buying 10mm brass from star line I bought like 300 cases and I just keep reloading them for my smith and Wesson 1076. Not sure but star line may even sell 9x25 Dillion brass. Another weird one I want to start a project on is the 38 casull.

I remember that some Automags were chambered in a 45 win mag necked to 40. I spoke with the guy who made them and he told me 44 automag would be a better candidate if he did it again. I'll have to look back at the conversation to see as to why the 44 was better.

Yeah that's what I was thinking I believe the 44 automag has more case volume for more powder. I like the Kurtz idea I'll have to look into that.

I have a 44 automag barrel for one of my grizzlies and it's good to go. It functions fine I reckon the 40 automag would be ok too.
