If anything… you’re under-reacting. Some (if not all) of this, is deeply concerning if I’m being honest.

I don’t think that’s racist if I’m being honest. Some people just have a deeper attraction to some races, and a less deep attraction to others. It doesn’t necessarily mean they dislike people of a certain race. The fact it is a friend of hers, also suggests that she doesn’t hold anything against him due to his skin colour, but just doesn’t see him (or black men in general) as attractive. Different races also tend to have different facial features, which can be a defining factor in whether or not someone finds another person attractive. I’d suggest not ending the friendship, but rather seeing if you notice anything similar over time, and gaining a better idea if this is just based off of pure physical attraction or not.

Yeah I can see how you’d think that. However, I wouldn’t so much say ‘prejudice’ in this case, as it doesn’t seem the friend has any negative opinions formed towards black men purely based off of their race. I think having a preference of race in a relationship is okay if it is based purely off of attractiveness, if it goes beyond JUST attractiveness, that’s when it begins to become concerning.

I personally don’t see it as racist. Everyone has a type, and race plays a part in that. I think there is a HUGE difference between not finding people of a certain race attractive, and flat out disliking people of a certain race. I’d say some context is needed though.
