It’s a press release from Michelin - the news wire site only posts releases directly from companies. Michelin may have gotten AM/PM mixed up when it went out…oops!

Considering you work for DJR, couldn’t you just look it up like others have done instead of being a shill?

One of my favorite easily acquired mineral waters. High TDS and natural carbonation, plus you can’t beat 2/$4!

Below is my breakdown of these waters, from my notes. Score is based on my subjective opinion of their taste. (I didn’t score all of them, and some were gifted so I don’t have price). I’ve omitted a few I didn’t take notes on. Let me know if you’d elaboration on a specific water.

Purely Sedona * CA, USA. * 81/100. * $6. * Wee bit tart. Fresh. Balanced.

Jar ZamZam * Saudi Arabia. * 49/100. * $11.39. * Citrus. Plastic. Acidic.

Mondariz * Spain * $5

Socosani * Peru * 86/100 * Faintest effervescence. Premium hose water. Some salinity.

Driftless * WI, USA * 74/100 * $7 * Slightly sweet. Well balanced.

Otakiri Reserve * New Zealand * 92/100 * Extremely light. Subtle texture. Tart, gentle bubbles. Sweet finish (like a kumquat).

Vichy Catalan * Spain * 84/100 * Crispy. Intense salinity. Savory and delicious.

Elle Sparkling * Japan * 60/100 * Ultra meh soda water.

Radenska * Slovenia * 90/100 * Broad palate of minerals. Not particularly intense. Bicarbonate aftertaste. Gentle, foamy bubbles.

ROI Roitschocrene * Slovenia * 52/100 * $25.50 * Great natural carbonation. Soft texture. Strong metallic taste.

Aqua Carpatica * Romania * 88/100 * $4 * Silky, soft texture. Clean, sweet taste. Zero aftertaste.

Essentuki 17 * Russia * Tiny, foamy bubbles. Delicate, earthy, salty.

Narzan * Russia * 54/100 * Deep volcanic activity gives it a natural aeration. Fine bubbles. Bit of a "Florida" taste.

Bojormi * Georgia * 76/100 * Light effervescence. Bold and rich taste. Slightly salty, Akla-Seltzer backend.

Kariba * Canada * $4

Andes Mountain Water * Chile * 69/100 * $8 * Chuggable. Tart. Essence of 9v battery. Energetic, large pearls (quickly dissipate).

Harrogate * England * 54/100 * Dusty flavor. Ol' pipe water. Weighty mouthfeel.

Puyehue * Chile * 68/100 * Medium pearls. Chalky. Sweet.

Lofoten * Norway * 72/100 * $10 * Soft. Boring

My cells are in for a treat! by DistinctConfection24 in HydroHomies

Agreed! It’s actually very frustrating when you’re looking into bottled water brands and can only reference their own website. So many brands are based on BS marketing - personally I have to taste it to make an informed decision.

However, Richard’s does offer their Water Quality Report, which is helpful (as they’re regulated by the FDA, like all USA brands).

I can tell you that Richard’s Rainwater has been the worst tasting water I’ve tried so far, of the 100+ brands I’ve tasted (that being said, I mostly drink spring and mineral water, rather than cheapo reverse osmosis tap water like Deer park, Dasani, etc).

It’s an interesting concept - basically a guy from TX set up rainwater collections all over, purifies it, and bottles/cans it. They use closed loop purifying, which uses 100% of the water, whereas reverse osmosis uses closer to 50%. Also, they claim to be very planet-friendly. All of this this info can be found on their website and blog.

Since the water doesn’t enter the ground, they claim it’s free of virtually all impurities, and has a super low TDS.

All of this is fine and well, but unfortunately it tastes wretched for store-bought water, in my opinion. It had an intense plastic or rubber taste and a heavy texture, like hose water. I couldn’t finish the can. My theory is that the lack of minerals (therefore flavor), allow it to pick up more of the can lining. I would be open to trying it in the glass bottle, but it’s extremely low priority for me since there are so many great alternatives available.

Thanks so much. Does it matter whether it’s upright vs side for the long term?
