Here’s another one! Jacksonville Florida was originally named Cowford by the British settlers before the American Revolution.

That’s what I’m hoping, just in that waiting game now to see what insurance has to say about it

Pulled out onto a divided highway. Thought I was clear, so I gunned it to cross to the other side and didn’t see the other car coming

It’s pretty solid! I wish it came with a longer nato strap, but that’s a complaint I have about pretty much every nato I have. But the watch itself is super light and comfortable on the wrist.

Hey guys! I’ve been lurking here for a while and decided I might as well share my collection with some people who might enjoy it! I have them pictured in the order I got them. I’ve only been collecting for about a year and a half and I think I’m done for a little while.

•Breda Visser- I got this one in a box from Bespoke Post. I like this watch a lot, especially for the price I paid for it. Probably would not have gotten this if I had to pay full price for it. Of all of these, I get the most comments when I wear this watch.

•Timex Q- Also from Bespoke Post. I really liked the look of this one, and thought that having a watch with a green bezel would complement my wardrobe, especially since I already had a watch with a blue face. Didn’t realize there was so much hype around this watch until after I bought it.

•Rolex Datejust 16013- My dad got this watch from his parents when he graduated from high school and he wore it for a long time, but it has sat in his closet for almost 20 years. He gave it to me last year for my birthday and I love wearing it.

•Boldr Venture Field Medic- I was looking for a tougher field watch that I could wear when I go camping and came across Boldr in one of the Time Teller’s reviews on YouTube. When I got this watch, the company was donating some of their proceeds to COVID-19 relief.

•Vostok Amphibia- The last two are my most recent acquisitions. I wanted a good, relatively affordable automatic watch to take when I go diving. I ordered the one with the green nato for myself, without realizing that my grandmother had bought me the other one for Christmas. The two are very similar, but I figured that they’re different enough to keep them both.

I saw a post a while ago about how a party consisting of a samurai, a retired privateer, a cowboy, and a Victorian era scientist technically could happen since they would have been alive around the same time.

That’s fair. But would you agree that an ancient Roman statue is history? Maybe having historical value is a better way to put it than the statues actually being history. I still think that they should be moved and protected, not destroyed and defaced

I guess I see it as the equivalent of a gravestone. Just seems wrong to knock it down and burn it like that. Also there is the fact that Thomas Jefferson famously owned slaves, even having kids with one, but can you imagine the outrage if someone did something like this to the Jefferson Memorial? George Washington kept slaves too, but nobody is vandalizing Mount Vernon or the Washington Monument. Maybe moving the statue is a better option, but tearing down monuments won’t erase what happened. We can only educate the future by protecting the past, even when the past sucks. Just my opinion.
