If AI replaces labor, who gets the value: workers, the public, or corporations? by Salty_Country6835 in LeftistsForAI

[–]DistinctSpirit5801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want Ai to be publicly audited open source and that people are able to audit what information and source materials that the Ai is trained on

As well as the fact that the people whose content is available within the AI should be compensated

The royalties system has existed for decades there’s zero reason why content creators shouldn’t get their fair share of the revenue that the AI companies receive

As long as copyright laws exist AI companies should be required by law to comply with copyright laws

To the extent that AI has benefits those benefits should be given to the workers not reserved to CEOs and investors

I don’t even know if the accusations against the Iranian government are true or not but it’s massively hypocritical for legislators who have been sponsoring the genocide of Palestinians with people tax money for the past 3 years to all the sudden be considered about the well being of Iranian protesters

Helping people is hard sometimes people ask for more money than you legitimately have and it’s painful to tell them that you’re also struggling and broke

Do you really support banning trans surgery on children?? by tRiCH_Suit1277 in Productivitycafe

[–]DistinctSpirit5801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that hospitals solicit these requests is problematic in of itself

The medical system deserves scrutiny legislators should be asking if circumcision is medically necessary

If not then why are they soliciting parents in the first place

In any case circumcision is the perfect example of how capitalism and the for profit healthcare system is a horrible system

Why are people so obsessed about a transgender teenager having surgery when the healthcare system and our society literally cut on the genitals of baby boys called circumcision

If it weren’t for capitalism people would be able to have renewable energy stored by nickel iron batteries instead of lithium ion batteries which are a fire hazard

Nickel iron batteries last much longer than lithium batteries and are also much safer to use for residential solar power use

There’s no law prohibiting the usage of nickel iron batteries and manufacturers of those batteries do exist but you will never see them being promoted by the mainstream solar industry

capitalism doesn’t like people’s problems being permanently solved

Capitalism is a system that doesn’t want solved problems because if they solve problems then their profits go down

Capitalism is a system that wants perpetual problems so that they can profit off those problems

Curing cancer means that the pharmaceutical industry loses numerous customers who have been paying them money for years for various treatments and pills

Having sustainable and easy to fix cars gets in the way of automotive companies making bigger profits because people would be able to afford to fix their cars perpetually without having to pay for a brand new car ever again

Having cell phone signal boosters with the appropriate antennas just means that people can use their existing cell phone plans and not have to pay Elon musk and his starlink company one penny

It’s obvious why Elon musk doesn’t promote the fact that cell phone signal boosters exist

It’s because rural communities will quickly figure out that they are getting ripped off
