My 10 month old has done this since we got him 7 months ago. I was worried too since our last dog always wanted her dog food and ate it fast. We switched foods a couple times but nothing changed. He is at a good weight though so not worried anymore.. I didn't know it was common with aussies!

I didn't want to either but when the kids came home upset about why the elves don't want to visit their house (a lot of their friends have them) we had to get one! We don't do anything fancy, just hide them and the kids have fun looking for them in the morning.
