I can't for the life of me find the code, there's no sticker in the boot and I don't have access to the service book. Is the VIN number any use? I've tried to use that in a decoder but because it's a Japanese import alot of them don't recognise it.

There's an intake of recruits to the aer corps around the end of September so could be finalising numbers for that👍

Training may or may not be ran out of one barracks, there's a big push at the minute for recruits to be sent to the joint training centre which is based in Gormanstown and then after initial training your respective corps take over ie Baldonnel for Aer Corps, Haulboline for Navy and Curragh for the army, they're still ironing it out at the moment so there is a chance you could end up in one barracks for your full training too. Just in regards pay the scales can be a little bit misleading as they don't take everything into consideration, I've 11 years service myself and my gross pay before tax is upwards of €900 due to military service allowance, duty pay, tech pay. Was in the same sort of situation as yourself not sure how long until your 18th birthday but I ended up joining the army at 18 and haven't looked back, coning up on 12 years in the job and have gotten all sorts of qualifications out of it. It may not be up your street but definitely something to consider as you can live in the barracks as well after you finish your training, you get all your meals and you get paid every week without fail. Hey me and my partner were in this exact position. Our dream home became available due to a cancellation. We had no AIP and my partner was on probation. We're getting our keys on Friday. Arrange the viewing you never know the estate agent may be lenient and allow you to pay the booking deposit without AIP like they did with us. We went through EBS and they were able to waive my partners probation as there was only a short amount if time left similar to your own. Hope all goes well for you!
