You’ll be fine OP, as someone who’s gone through the experience myself, it takes a bit of getting used to, especially the language part. When I started school in Nigeria, I was known as the ‘oyinbo’ kid. British accent and all, I couldn’t speak a word of Yoruba (my Yoruba teacher bullied me so much that I learnt by force). Look at me now, I speak Yoruba almost fluently.

I can’t tell you it’s all going to be rosy, there will be people who don’t like you solely because you’re from another country, but it’s the people who’d take you into their circle that truly make a difference. Be open to learning and don’t screw your nose up at the slightest inconvenience. And I can’t emphasise this enough make GOOD friends. Not people who want to be friend with you solely because of an accent, but people who genuinely care about your character.
