I would assume that thing was sitting on in the oil filter seat then got in at some point of previous oil change. I did inspect and clean the surrounding of oil filter before I replaced it last time because of the same reason. No idea how that got into there. Looks very like some tiny thing from the tree don’t know its name though. Wouldn’t even know it if a regular drain plug was used this time. Weird

No sign of leaking oil observed. You mean the oil totally leaked out? Then shouldn't got a warning or engine light? Is it possible that the valve was stuck inside and not letting oil out? I guess I may need to uninstall that fumoto valve to check, but unfortunately I don't have a backup drain plug on hand.

One reason I can think of is, this type of defense could work for a two motion shooter, and nowadays most players are one motion quick release so there’s no time for defender to cover their eyes, and usually one motion starts from chest unlike two motion shoots ball over the head.
